Ponteareas is town and municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in Spain It is located on the Vigo-Benavente highway and on the river Tea, a right-hand tributary of the Miño. It is the chief town of a fertile hilly region, which produces wine, grain and fruit, and contains many cattle farms. The industries of the town itself are porcelain manufactures, tanning and distilling. Close by are the ruins of the Sobroso Castle, which played an important part in the medieval civil wars. While it is located in the nearby town, Mondariz, it is owned by the council of Ponteareas.

Tui is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra in the autonomous community of Galicia, in Spain. It is situated in the comarca of O Baixo Miño. It is located on the left bank of the Miño River, facing the Portuguese town of Valença. Its original local name, Tude, was mentioned by Pliny the Elder and by Ptolemy in the first century AD. It became an episcopal see no later than the 6th century, during the Suevic rule, when Bishop Anila went to the II Council of Braga. Later, in the Visigothic period, it briefly served as the capital of a Galician subkingdom under king Wittiza. EL RIO MIÑO A GUARDA PONTEVEDRA
El rio Miño entra orgulloso en el Océano Atlántico saludando a España en una orilla y a Portugal en otra y se mezcla con esas grandiosas aguas atlánticas.
Siempre me oísteis decir que cada sitio tiene su encanto así me lo demostraban los sitios por donde estuve por esos lares, pero cuando conocí A Guarda (Pontevedra) me sorprendió, por más que miraba ese pueblo más me gustaba de lejos parecía un cuadro pintado y desde el Monte Tecla más me sorprendió.
Mirar la grandiosidad del Océano es un placer para los sentidos también, bueno intente captarlo todo os meto fotos pronto los videos de este bello paisaje español.

THE RIVER MIÑO A GUARDA PONTEVEDRA
The Miño River enters the Atlantic Ocean proud waving to Spain on a shore and Portugal in another and mixed with those great Atlantic waters.
I have heard always say that each site has its charm me so showing the places where I was for those dollars, but when I met A Guarda (Pontevedra) I was surprised, even watching that town more I liked from afar looked like a painted picture and from Mount Tecla more I surprised me.
Watching the grandeur of the Ocean is a pleasure for the senses as well, good try to take it all I put my pictures soon videos of this beautiful Spanish landscape.

Lunch and Walk on the Galician Rias Baixas Fishing Port of Combarro

While on tour along the Rias Baixas, Galicia we had some time to stop for a walk and lunch on the quaint fishing port of Combarro. The small streets are lined with restaurants and small souvenir stores on one side then the other with terraces and traditional Horreos (Stone Granaries) a cultural symbol of Galicia. In the summertime they grill sardines on the port with view of the Ria de Pontevedra in the background. What a great lunch enjoying Galician seafood tapas (scallops, clams, mussels, prawns, squid, octopus, sardines, etc...) with the fine white Albariño wines of the Rias Baixas.

The island of San Simón is an island belonging to the San Simón archipelago , next to San Antón and other islets in the Vigo estuary , Spain . It belongs to the parish of Cesantes , in the municipality of Redondela , being one of the five places of this parish. At present it is uninhabited.
It presides over the cove of San Simón , at the inner end of the Vigo estuary , which bathes the municipalities of Redondela , Sotomayor and Vilaboa . It is linked to the island of San Antón by a bridge. The set of the two islands is 250 meters wide and 84 meters long. There are also two other small islets, San Bartolomé and San Norberto.
Throughout its history the island was used as a monastery , lazaretto , prison and home for orphaned children.
