HMCS Bonaventure was a Majestic-class aircraft carrier, the third and last aircraft carrier in service with Canada's armed forces. The aircraft carrier was initially ordered for construction by Britain's Royal Navy as HMS Powerful during the Second World War. Following the end of the war, construction on the ship was halted and it was not until 1952 that work began once again, this time to an altered design for the Royal Canadian Navy. The ship entered service in 1957 renamed Bonaventure and, until the vessel's decommissioning in 1970, was involved in major NATO fleet-at-sea patrols and naval exercises and participated in the Cuban Missile Crisis.     Village historique acadien is an historical reconstruction that portrays the way of life of Acadians between 1770 and 1949. It is located in Bertrand, in northeastern New Brunswick, 50 kilometres east of Bathurst and 130 kilometres north of Miramichi, New Brunswick. More than 40 buildings are staffed by interpreters in period costume who bring ancestral customs and traditional trades to life. Among the attractions is Hôtel Château Albert, a replica of a turn-of the century hotel that once existed in Caraquet. The original was destroyed by fire in 1955 but it has been re-created at the Village. It offers overnight accommodations as well as a dining room. Allow a minimum of 3 hours for a complete visit.

    Miscou Island Lighthouse is an 11-metre -tall landfall lighthouse located on the North-Eastern tip of Miscou Island, at the entrance of the Chaleur Bay. It was built in 1856 and currently in use by the Canadian Coast Guard who owns the lighthouse, the land it is on, and also maintains it. It was built due to the shipwrecks that happened each year that could be prevented by a lighthouse. James Murray from Newcastle won the bid to construct the lighthouse. It is a federal Heritage Building that is open to the public to explore. In 2009 a parking area, washrooms, picnic area and a deck around the lighthouse was added.The light's characteristic is a single green flash that occurs every five seconds, emitted at a focal plane height of 14 metres .     Miguasha National Park is a protected area near Carleton-sur-Mer on the Gaspé Peninsula of Quebec in Canada. Created in 1985 by the Government of Quebec, Miguasha was designated a World Heritage Site in 1999 in recognition of its wealth of fossils, which display a crucial time during the evolution of life on Earth. Other names for this site are the Miguasha Fossil Site, the Bay of Escuminac Fossil Site, the Upper Devonian Escuminac Formation, and the Hugh-Miller Cliffs. It is also sometimes referred to on fossil specimens as 'Scaumenac Bay' or 'Scaumenac Bay P.Q.'
