Booragul railway station is located on the Main Northern line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the City of Lake Macquarie suburb of Booragul opening on 24 October 1926.The original station buildings were extensively damaged in the 1989 Newcastle earthquake, resulting in their demolition and replacement with the current structures.

The Australian Reptile Park is located at Somersby on the Central Coast, New South Wales in Australia. It is about 50 kilometres North of Sydney, and is just off the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway. The park is home to a variety of reptiles, including snakes, lizards and crocodiles, as well as other Australian animals, such as koalas, kangaroos, cassowaries and Tasmanian devils. The park is heavily involved in snake and spider venom collection for use in the production of Antivenom and is credited for saving the lives of thousands. It is an institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association .

Tomaree Lodge is a heritage-listed former military camp and hospital and now residential disability accommodation at Shoalhaven Road, Shoal Bay, Port Stephens Council, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by the NSW Government Architect's Office and built from 1942 by the NSW Department of Public Works for the Commonwealth Government. It was formerly known as the Tomaree Head Army/RAAF Camp. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

It is 17 kilometres west-southwest of the city of Newcastle on the northern shore of Lake Macquarie, in Cockle and Warners Bays, between the suburbs of Cardiff and Warners Bay.Speers Point was settled in 1828 and local commerce began through a colliery in 1843. By 2006, the suburb had a population of 3,230.There has been a proposal to rename part of the suburb to 'Lake Macquarie', to reflect the name of the city.

Train Enthusiast's Video Diary 1995-07-19

On 19/07/1995, we visited Sydney via a commuter train from Chatswood Railway Station and spent some time watching and videoing commuter trains.

This video clip includes snippets of commuter trains at Chatswood, Milsons Point, Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, and the city subway, and includes some video of the Mono Rail.
