    Nexø Museum is the town museum of Nexø on the Danish island of Bornholm. Located in the harbour area of the town, it is housed in a historic sandstone building. Exhibitions document the town's history including the periods in the 1940s when it was occupied by the Germans and bombed by the Russians.

  • 5. Oluf Host Museet Gudhjem
    Oluf Høst was a Danish Expressionist painter, the only member of the Bornholm school who was a native Bornholmer. Although he studied in Copenhagen, he returned to the Danish island of Bornholm in 1929 where he remained with his family for the rest of his life. Bognemark, a little farmhouse near Gudhjem, was one of Høst's favourite motifs. From 1935 on, he painted the farm some 200 times under varying conditions at different times of the year, often reflecting his particular mood at the time. His home in Gudhjem, built from two fishermen's cottages with a rocky garden in the rear, is named Norresân after the nearby harbour, Nørresand Havn, where he painted many of his works.

  • 12. Erichsens Museum Bornholm
    Erichsens Gård is Rønne's best kept commoner's house and is now part of the Bornholm Museum. Erichsens Gård was built in 1806 and expanded in the 1830s and 1840s. It was Henning Pedersen, who drew Rønne Præstegård and the old city hall on Rønne's Store Torv, who lived there between 1816 and 1837. Erichsens Gård is named after the next owner, Thomas Erichsen. He moved to Bornholm in 1832 and bought this house in 1838 and married Michelle Westh in the same year. They had 12 children. One of them, Vilhelmine Erichsen , became Kristian Zahrtmann's muse. He painted her when she was fourteen years old. This painting is part of the Bornholms Kunstmuseum's collection. In 1871 Vilhemine married Zahrtmann's friend Holger Drachmann in Gentofte church.
