2. Don’t Drink the Water
Play it safe. The drinking water in the Dominican Republic is mostly unclean, so you should avoid drinking any water that doesn’t come directly from a sealed bottle. Stay hydrated, but spring for the bottled stuff.
3. Take it Easy on the Coconut
If you want to avoid hugging the toilet for one of your days, you might want to take it easy on the coconut-themed drinks. While delicious, coconuts also act as a laxative. Exercise a little bit of caution.
4. Visit Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park & Reserve
Several hotels in the area offer free access to the reserve, which means you can enjoy some of the most pristine natural offerings the Dominican Republic has to offer.
5. Stroll Through the National Botanical Garden

7. Take a Dip at Hoyo Azul
This Punta Cana destination will surprise you at every turn. Hoyo Azul is a la-goon plopped at the bottom of a 65-meter-high cliff. Swimming is open to visi-tors, so be sure to spend a little time dipping your toe in Hoyo Azul’s turquois water.

The Dominican Republic doesn’t have the same exacting standards of safety as the United States. So travel insurance is never a wrong decision. You can still find some great options in the DR to get your watersports fix, just make sure to double check before you sign up.
10. Go to the Hard Rock Casino
You can get a respite from the sun at the Hard Rock Casino in Punta Cana. The 45,000-square-foot casino is a little slice of Vegas smack dab in the middle of paradise. The staff is friendly, the tables are immaculate, and there’s plenty of fun to be had. There’s no Hard Rock Cafe, though …

There is quite famous and beautiful beach, which is called Brighton Le Sands Beach and is located at Botany Bay.
Sandalwood or Santalum Album or Sreegandha chandan-The fragrant wood
Sandalwood and its products have the finest of fragrance, one that lasts for years. The demand for srigandha is increasing amongst our clients' every day. Since there is scarcity and industries are affected, we use alternates similar to Indian sandalwood that is procured from different countries. Sandalwood (Chandan) and its products are used widely from birth to incineration and also in temples and in prasadam. The oil of the wood is used for varied applications because of its unique chemical and physical properties. Further, it has gained a special place in aroma therapy, perfumery, agarbatti soaps and detergents, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and allied industries.
Chandana specializes in growing sandalwood saplings in a hygienic space and environment in Bangalore. As we understand the importance and value of sandalwood, we excel as nursery servers, consultants & plantation management. Utmost care and attention is given by our experienced personnel for growing every sapling
Sandalwood (santalum album) is a semi-parasitic plant, as a result natural regeneration is difficult. “A sandalwood seedling, right from a small sprout needs a host plant for effective growth. Like any other sapling, it requires the perfect mix of farm yard manure, sand and soil. However, we need to plant a primary host plant in a feet's radius. The most tedious work is the host plant management as it dominates if allowed to grow higher than sandal. We don’t recommend any external chemicals to be added,” says Mr. G. K. Reddy .
Primary host needs to be a leguminous plant that can fix atmospheric nitrogen that is essential for sandalwood’s effective growth. We suggest Cajanus cajan (pigeon pea, Toor Dal) plant as it’s a primary host and further, it requires a permanent host. This depends on the area and ambiance in which sandal is being grown.
Santalum Album Line (Sandalwood) is commonly known as Chandan or Srigandha. Naturally grown sandal wood can be found in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Kerala, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, U.P and Manipur. Chandan is a well-known as East Indian wood and it is priced high for its oil and heart wood across the world. These woods are used as medicinal agents on a large scale in the manufacture of ayurvedic medicines.
Apart from this, these woods are recognized by the National Medicinal Plant Board, and Govt. of India as a medicinal and aromatic plant. Moreover, there are varied types of species too and the best variety known until now is (Santalum Album line). It attains a height of 12 to 15 meters and girth of 100 to 200 cms. It is a semi-root parasite plant found in association with other plant.
But, all of the above plants are not quite competitive like the Indian Sandalwood and the Indian Sandalwood Chandan is in two different colors, White and Red.

A little about La Perouse:-
La Perouse is a suburb in south-eastern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The suburb of La Perouse is located about 14 kilometres southeast of the Sydney central business district, in the City of Randwick.
The La Perouse peninsula is the northern headland of Botany Bay. It is notable for its old military outpost at Bare Island and the Kamay Botany Bay National Park. Congwong Bay Beach, Little Congwong Beach, and the beach at Frenchmans Bay provide protected swimming areas in Botany Bay. La Perouse is one of few Sydney suburbs with a French name, others being Sans Souci, Engadine and Vaucluse. Kurnell is located opposite, on the southern headland of Botany Bay.
La Perouse was named after the French navigator Jean-François de Galaup, comte de Lapérouse (1741–88), who landed on the northern shore of Botany Bay west of Bare Island on 26 January 1788. Captain Arthur Phillip and the first fleet of convicts had arrived in Botany Bay a few days earlier. Louis XVI of France had commissioned Lapérouse to explore the Pacific.[3] In April 1770 James Cook's expedition had sailed onto the east coast of Australia whilst exploring the south Pacific searching for Terra Australis or ‘Land of the South’. Upon King Louis XVI's orders, Lapérouse departed Brest, France, in command of the Astrolabe and Boussole on 1 August 1785 on a scientific voyage of the Pacific inspired by the voyages of Cook. La Perouse in Sydney's south is named after the leader of this French expedition.
The first building in the area was the octagonal stone tower constructed in 1820-22 as accommodation for a small guard of soldiers stationed there to prevent smuggling, and the tower still stands today.[20] By 1885, an Aboriginal reserve had been established in the suburb and a number of missions were operated in the area. The original church was dismantled and moved to the corner of Elaroo and Adina Avenues, where it still stands.
A kiosk was built in 1896 to cater for tourists who came to see the attractions, including snake-handling shows.[21] During the Great Depression, from the late 1920s, many severely affected low-income families took up residence here in settlements beside the Aboriginal reserve.
The small island just inside the heads was described by Captain James Cook as ‘a small bare island’. Bare Island was fortified in 1885, according to a design by colonial architect, James Barnet (1827–1904), and fitted with heavy guns. In 1912 Bare Island became a retirement home for war veterans, which continued to operate until 1963 when it was handed over to the New South Wales Parks and Wildlife Service for use as a museum and tourist attraction.[22]
Apart from the fortification on Bare Island two other fortifications are located within La Perouse, one of them, Fort Banks is located on Cape Banks. This facility was part of the Eastern Command Fixed Defences unit, it was designed and positioned in a way that would allow it to protect the approaches to Botany Bay in the event of a sea born attack during the World War II period. Henry Head Battery, constructed 1892 - 1895, operated until 1910, when the fort became obsolete. The battery along with two gun-emplacements and observation posts was recommissioned for use during the second World War.[23]
Heritage listings[edit]
La Perouse has a number of heritage-listed sites, including:
• Bare Island Fort[24]
• 46 Adina Avenue: La Perouse Mission Church[25]
• 1-39 Bunnerong Road: Chinese Market Gardens (La Perouse)[26]
