LONDON, EXPLORING the IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM, top exhibits to see (ENGLAND)
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit the world famous Imperial War Museums (IWM) which is a British national museum organisation with branches at five locations in England, three of which are in London. Founded as the Imperial War Museum in 1917, the museum was intended to record the civil and military war effort and sacrifice of Britain and its Empire during the First World War. The museum's remit has since expanded to include all conflicts in which British or Commonwealth forces have been involved since 1914. As of 2012, the museum aims to provide for, and to encourage, the study and understanding of the history of modern war and 'wartime experience'.
The museum's collections include archives of personal and official documents, photographs, film and video material, and oral history recordings, an extensive library, a large art collection, and examples of military vehicles and aircraft, equipment, and other artefacts.

Mysterious Shirburn Castle Near Watlington, Oxfordshire
Stop Press: Another film is being turned at Shirburn a huge amount of equipment & lighting but I don't know what movie yet. (26Feb16)
Shirburn Castle is owned by the Macclesfield Family, it was occupied until 2004 by the 9th Earl of Macclesfield. It is currently empty. It is possible to visit the Historic Church during working hours but you need to obtain a key from the Beechwood Estate. Shirburn Church is still consecrated with occasional services. You cannot see the castle in this video but rather the Gatehouse and the Many outbuildings. The castle which you can see on Google Maps (Satellite) is a fine square moated and turreted castle. A fortified manor house built in 1378 in brick with four towers and a gatehouse and surrounded by a moat.
Shirburn Castle appeared in the Inspector Morse 1992 episode Happy Families as the home of the Balcombes. There is currently filming going on at Shirburn (Oct 2012) for Hercule Poirot and in a little while for Miss Marple.
There seems to be lots of construction work going on at the moment but I don't know what they are doing (Oct 2013). They are doing filming as I drive by at night I can see huge lights may be simulating a fire.
(This is nothing to do with the better known Sherborne Castle Dorset)
Brad Pitt will be playing the part of a tank commander in a new film called Fury, which is set to be filmed at Bovingdon Airfield. The film will also star Transformers actor, Shia LeBeouf. Crews are currently building a German village set. They are also filming at Shirburn Castle (see comment below). In the news today: .
The last remaining working German Tiger tank was restored by experts at the Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset, where it is usually on display will be used for filming at Shirburn Castle.
Shirburn has one other side road which leads down to Mafeking Row which probably dates most of the Shirburn Castle complex to the Boer War and has been in steady decline since.

WORLDS LARGEST TANK MUSEUM GETS EVEN LARGER!
The largest tank museum in the world just got larger!
The Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset UK has just opened a huge climate controlled conservation building that now allows it to store exhibits that are being refurbished or prepared for exhibition in the adjoining museum complex.
Part paid for by the UK National Lottery the giant building can house over a hundred vehicles, in perfect conditions.
Many rare tanks are displayed in the museum from the 1915's onwards to the present day and having this facility now means that the collection can be kept in a clean and dry environment.
TV presenters Dan Snow and Chris Barrie have close connections with the museum and were at the opening event to help publicise this new multi-million pound building.
Bovington Tank Museum Events
DinoDCL and ClanAndrooz go to one of the Bovington Tank Museum Events as part of DinoDCL's Birthday celebrations.
There are many tanks of all sizes and descriptions plus a Dalek Invasion and a couple of Star Wars Storm Troopers trying to use the Fork!
We arrived at Bovington in Dorset, UK at 10 am ready for an early start, eager to begin the famous Bovington Tank Museum Tour.
We spent the morning and the best part of the afternoon walking around all the exhibits which included Battlegroup Afganistan, The Tank Story, The Trench Experience, Warhorse to Horse Power, Tank Men and the Tank Factory.
DinoDCL even got his face painted along with his two Brothers, SlowBro and CuteDinoXander.
Dr Who also made an appearance as he fought off a Dalek Invasion that had occupied the trenches.
The Dorset Troopers were also present on the day showing off some cool Star Wars memorabilia.
We are hoping to attend TANKFEST - The world's biggest display of historic moving armour. 29.06.2018 - 01.07.2018. So watch out for our Video on that exciting event.
Before we headed home we took a look around the Bovington Tank Museum Gift Shop. We didn't continue our Vlog on the way home because we fell asleep in the car.

Hi there YouTube fans, it's me, Leo-Nyan (Dino DCL). One day I decided to create a YouTube Channel with my twin Bro's, Xander and Gabriel, but we couldn't do it without help from our Dad.
Lucky for us Dad was right up for it. He loves to make videos of us all and have as much fun as possible whenever he and Mum aren't busy working.
I talked to my Bros about calling our channel Dino Brothers because we all love dinosaurs big time! They both thought it was a cool name so it stuck.
Our adventures in YouTube land are only just beginning. Dad said its a great place to store family videos to share with family, friends who are all around the world. And who knows, maybe even strangers will enjoy watching what we get up to.
Me, my brothers and my Mum were all born in Indonesia but we moved to the UK (which is where my Dad was born) in 2016. We love living in the UK but we sure do miss our Indonesian family. But hey! This is why we love YouTube. It allows us to share our life here in the UK with everyone we love but live so far away.
Well anyway...just wanted to say Hi and Welcome to our YouTube Channel. We hope you enjoy watching.
The Dino Brothers.
The Tank Museum, Bovington
Travel journalist David Powell takes a short break in Dorset, England where he experiences a unique collection of tanks at the Tank Museum. Having recently been redeveloped at a cost of £16.5 million interactive features have been added together with the Tank Story and the moving Trench Experience.
The Tank Museum
The Tank Museum is a collection of armoured fighting vehicles at Bovington Camp in Dorset, South West England. The collection traces the history of the tank. With almost 300 vehicles on exhibition from 26 countries it is the largest collection of tanks and the second largest collection of armoured vehicles in the world. It includes the only working example of a German Tiger I tank and a British First World War Mark I, the world's oldest surviving combat tank.
It is the museum of the Royal Tank Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps and a registered charity. The camp trains all sections of the British Army in tracked-vehicle driving as well as repairing and maintaining the vehicles in its workshops.
