Broager is a town with a population of 3,339 in Sønderborg Municipality in Region of Southern Denmark, Denmark. It lies on the Broager Peninsula and is therefore surrounded by water on three sides, the waters of Flensborg Fjord leading into the Baltic Sea. The town of Broager lies in the middle of the peninsula by a major road, which leads to the Egernsund Bridge, which crosses over the Egern Strait to the Jutland mainland. The town's two-towered church is its most important landmark. The town was part of Broager Municipality until 2007 when it became part of the larger Sønderborg Municipality.

Broager Church is a church in the locality of Broager, Denmark.The chapel and vestry are Gothic-style and the whole church is built of bricks. The churchyard has the tallest wooden bell tower in Denmark, which dates back to 1650. The church itself is decorated with lovely murals from various periods. The late-Gothic murals in the eastern vault of the nave and north chapel are the most eye-catching. The chapel's paintings depict the legend of St George killing the dragon, and his martyrdom. These pictures, together with the late medieval carved wooden figure of the dragon slayer from app. 1490, which is as tall as a man, formed the setting for the chapel's Saint George cult. The altarpiece from 1717 had in 1993 a thorough restoration, made by Anthon Günther Lundt from Sønderborg. The styl...

The quiet and picturesque town of Gråsten in Denmark

Gråsten (German: Gravenstein) is a town on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in south Denmark by the Nybøl Nor at an inlet of the Flensburg Fjord. It belongs to the Sønderborg municipality in Region of Southern Denmark. The town is located almost exactly at the center of a triangle defined by the towns of Aabenraa, Flensburg and Sønderborg Castle. Hier ist es. Das große Projekt vom Sommer 2014, über das ich im letzten Infovideo sprach. Eine 7-tägige Fahrradtour vom Nord-Ostseekanal nach Kopenhagen.
Viel Spaß. :)

Die ganze Strecke wurde übrigens mit dem Fahrrad zurückgelegt, soweit dies möglich war. Zwei mal mussten wir eine Fähre nehmen, da es die einzige Möglichkeit war, die Route 8 zu nehmen, die durch die dänische Südsee führt. Zurückgefahren sind wir mit dem Zug, wie am Ende zu sehen ist.

By the way: The whole tour was done by bicycle, with the exception of two ferry trips, because it was the only way to get to the next island. From Copenhagen we took the train to get home, as you can see at the end of the video.
