BUEN HOMBRE - Arriving at The Spot in Style
Remotely located kitesurfing destination in the north of Dominican Republic. Buen Hombre is still unknown among the kitesurfing community despite its excellent wind conditions and mirror flat water.
Getting there: Hire a car! It's 3.5h drive from Cabarete (kitesurfing capital of DR) or Puerto Plata International Airport.
Accommodation: Limited. Make sure to arrange it in advance to avoid disappointment. We stayed in the hotel 10min walk from the spot.
Food and drink: There are few beach bars located opposite the spot. It's a fishing village so you shouldn't have any problems finding a place to enjoy freshly grilled fish.
Hazards: Keep in mind that the reef is sharp and can easily cut your feet. If you often wipeout better invest in neoprene boots. Avoid the shallow part of the reef at low tide. There's just not enough water. You can still kite but further down the beach.

St. Lucia Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia (4K 60fps)
Floating like an emerald teardrop between the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea is the island nation of St Lucia.
For centuries the original Arawak and Carib made their homes around the islands northern bays. In the 1550s, the notorious buccaneer, Peg Leg Le Clerc, became the first European to settle here.
After the pirates came the plantations, and the bittersweet years of sugar and slavery. Between the 17th and 19th centuries, St Lucia was pulled back and forth between the French and British, before finally gaining her independence in 1979.
Right in the heart of the capital, Castries, the main square pays tribute to two of the island’s Nobel Prize winning sons. Just across from the park, visit the basilica, filled with murals that blend the colours and traditions of Africa, the Caribbean and the West.
At the Central Market, taste the fruits of this island’s volcanic soil, enjoy real St Lucian home cooking, and browse crafts made by local hands. The creation story continues at Eudovik’s Art Studio, where master carvers transform tree roots into sensual works of art.
The sleepy French colonial town, Soufriere, is cradled by some of the island’s greatest natural treasures. Just a short boat ride away is one island’s finest resort beaches, Anse Chastanet. While nestled between the two volcanic spires of Gros and Petit Piton, is one of the west coast’s most secluded hideaways, Sugar Beach.

Cabarete Tours Video
Cabarete tours video - This one-time farming hamlet is now the adventure-sports capital of the country, booming with condos and new development. Youll find a sophisticated, grown-up beach town, with top-notch hotels, and a beach dining experience second to none (not to mention the best winds and waves on the island). Cabarete is an ideal spot to base yourself for exploring the area -- youre within two hours drive of the best that the coast has to offer, and if you want to go surfing, or windsurfing, or kitesurfing, heck, you dont even need to leave town. Youll hear a babble of five or six languages as you walk Cabaretes single street, where the majority of the hotels, restaurants and shops are located.
