Mount Bulusan, or Bulusan Volcano, is the southernmost volcano on Luzon Island in the Republic of the Philippines. It is situated in the province of Sorsogon in the Bicol region, 70 km southeast of Mayon Volcano and approximately 600 km southeast of the Philippine capital of Manila. It is one of the active volcanoes in the Philippines.

Bulusan, officially the Municipality of Bulusan, ; Filipino: Bayan ng Bulusan), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Sorsogon, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 22,884 people.It is bordered by the towns of Barcelona in the north and, going counterclockwise, the towns of Casiguran, Juban, Irosin and Santa Magdalena. The islets of San Bernardino, about 15 kilometres off the coast, fall under the jurisdiction of Bulusan.

WE TRAVEL ALMOST 600 KILOMETERS FROM MANILA TO REACH OUR DESTINATION, THE BICOL REGION

BICOL is a region in the Philippines encompassing the southern part of Luzon Island and nearby island provinces. Caramoan, a peninsula in the east, is dotted with caves, limestone cliffs and white-sand beaches. Nearby, Catanduanes Island has mountains, waterfalls and coral reefs. Donsol, in the west, is home to whale sharks. The region’s active volcanoes include Bulusan Volcano and Mayon Volcano.
