One of the best, wildest, and most extreme outdoor activities we ever tried is canyoning in Biliran. With the assistance of Trexplore guides headed by cave master Joni Bonifacio, we took the challenge of traversing the length of the roaring Sampao River in Almeria, Biliran.

When in Biliran | Biliran Province

Are you an adventure seeker who wants to explore white sand beaches/islands, chasing countless water falls, springs and even lush mountains? Biliran is a perfect getaway for you!

Biliran offered a wide array of beautiful destination. Located in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines. It is one of the country's smallest and newest island provinces. Often, it is even mistaken to be part of Leyte, and it was in fact sub-province of Leyte until it became an independent province in 1992.

I was able to tour Biliran for one whole day. Thanks to my former Biliranon workmate who toured us in her province. We visited Biliran Bridge, Bethany Hills, Dalutan Island and Tinago Falls. Honestly, one day is not enough to tour the province, hopefully one time I may able to visit the province again and explore different spots particularly the Sambawan Island, Higatangan Shifting Bar and Ulan-Ulan Falls.
