Arriving in Pucón was like finding home in Chile and I am finding it hard to think about the possibility of leaving. Pucón is near the Los Lagos region of Chile and is a completely different topography to that of Santiago, Chile and certainly the farther north, arid regions of Chile.
After visiting the Ojos del Caburgua outside of Pucon, I felt like I owed the little town a video if its own as Pucon Chile really is that beautiful. Possibly the most beautiful place in Chile, with the Villarica volcano occupying the background around every corner.
Things to do in Pucon Chile:
Spending a few more days in Pucon and will be doing a few more hikes in the area and then heading further south on my travels through Chile.

Pucón Trip - Summer Adventures | Chile 2017
We took a week-long trip to the south of Chile (Pucón). Water Rafting, Canyoning, Hiking and Discovering the region of Pucón with a group of a few exchange students from Germany, United States, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria. It was a fantastic experience and we had a lot of fun!

This video is from Pucón and surrounding areas in the south of Chile. It was just before Christmas 2013 and the weather was lovely and hot. There is plenty to see and do so if you're in Chile try and make it at least this far south and visit Chile's Lake District.

Pucón, Chile - Things to do - Travel Guide
Pucón is extremely popular both with Chileans and foreigners for the beautiful views of Volcano Villarrica , which is the highest and most-active climbable volcano in South America. The city centre is a backpacker's paradise, filled with travel agencies offering a wide range of day trips. Apparently, also the night-life is quite active. If you don't like it crowded, avoid January and February as they are the busiest months. We visited in February.
We stayed just outside of the town in Caburgua on a lovely tranquil estate, Hotel Salto del Carileufu . From here we could explore the area avoiding the busy town centre unless eating out. Don't get me wrong it was a lovely place but in this guide we stick to things you can do in the area, around Pucón, rather than the town.
We visited numerous Waterfalls like Ojos Del Caburgua, and Salto El Léon. Spent hours just driving the local area with so many lakes and views to stop at and take pictures.
A highlight shown in the video was Termas Geometricas. It's a 2 hour scenic drive from Pucon and the last 30 minutes is on a bumpy gravel road, but don't let that put you off. Most 2 wheel drive cars are fine if you take it slow! It is really is an amazing place, Highly recommend you make the effort.
