About Bac Son
Bac Son is a rural district of Lạng Sơn Province in the Northeast region of Vietnam and it is situated 160km northeast of Hanoi.
One of the interesting aspects about this valley is its incredibly high mountains which are about 500-1200 meters high. These mountains, together with the valley’s paddy fields, create a great scenic landscape that you can only see its best after climbing to the peak of a mountain which is located just a few minutes from the town.
The valley’s pathways leads you to the paddy fields where you’ll get a chance to see the beautiful river that runs crossing the rice fields. Besides the valley itself, Bac Son district’s villages possess a beauty of their own.
The district is inhabited by the Tay ethnic people and their traditional stilt houses. Some of overnight tours will be the best for both the beautiful scenery and learning the local life of the hill tribe.
If you wish to see the entire view of the valley, you would need to hike up to the telephone station which was built on the top of a high mountain. From here, you are absolutely amazed by the stunning 360-degree scenery of mountains, villages, rivers and farms. It can be tiring to climb the mountains, but the effort is very much worth it.
The early settlers of the Bac Son Valley initially resided in Lang Son province, in north Vietnam. When Lang Son was explored in 1922, 43 sites were found related to the ancient Bac Son culture prevalent in the mountains.
Bac Son Valley’s fertile soil lets the local farmers grow various crops in the area. Its main crop is rice which is planted only in two seasons, with each of its squared field cultivated and harvested in different times. Apart from rice, other crops like sweet potatoes and corn also grow in this valley, giving a boost to the agriculture of the region by 80 percent. This is the reason that agriculture is the prime occupation and source of earning for inhabitants.
This valley has just become a source of interest for tourists because of its enticing beauty. However, it is still known as an off-the-beaten-track destination for oversea travelers. The easiest way to reach this valley is by taking a road trip from Hanoi using Highway 3 to Thai Nguyen and turning to National Highway 1B. There are still a few tour operators organize tours to the area but Custom Vietnam Travel is one of the pioneer travel company covers this service. With the list of different interesting tours in this website, you will have number of different choices to custom-make your Vietnam holiday.
Make sure that you visit this enchanting valley of beauty. Seeing such a beautiful place will make you realize that Mother Nature has so much to offer. Moreover, there is so much to explore in the valley and its surroundings. Some of the interesting activities includes climbing to the summit of telephone-station Mountain for the panorama view; walking or bicycling around to visit the villages of stilt houses witness the local rustics working on their rice and vegetable fields. Hiking on a back road to enjoy the peaceful land. No more hesitation, get your bag and go!

About Dalat city
Dalat, also Da Lat (Đà Lạt), located in the South Central Highlands of Vietnam, was originally the playground of the French who built villas in the clear mountain air to escape the heat and humidity of the coast and of what was then called Saigon (now) officially known as Ho Chi Minh City
Dalat is a mid-sized city that looks like a cross between Vietnam and the French Alps. Outside of the city centre, it is surrounded by a series of pine-covered hills, lakes, and higher peaks, making for some lovely scenery quite different from the rest of Vietnam.
Temperatures are pleasantly warm by day, and quite cool at night, down to perhaps 10 degrees Celsius. Be aware that during summer months, rain comes at least once a day and can sometimes dictate the mood and activities you are planning.
The city centre is quite small and feels very urban, concrete, and patches of streets and buildings are in disrepair or construction. However, outside of the small urban centre is a spacious landscape of well kempt and pretty hotels, cafes, restaurants, and lakes peppered among the rolling green hills and pine trees to offer tourists an escape from city life. Even further out from those are fields of fruits, vegetables, coffee, and canopied flower gardens that are harvested and exported across Vietnam. The tempo of life in Dalat is very relaxed, traffic is not frenetic, streets are spacious, and the local populace is friendly to foreigners.
Dalat is very much a niche tourism town, open to those seeking a respite from the heat of the rest of Vietnam, a change in scenery to lush pine forests and rolling hills, or those seeking world class golf. There is a steady flow during some parts of the year of tourist from all walks of life and places, small hotels, cafe's lining its streets and plenty of small shops offering anything from orchids to knitwear. The vast majority of visitors are Vietnamese, although plenty of Americans and Europeans find their way, either on short package tours, soul searching, or drawn by the scenery, vivid blue skies, fresh air, flower-filled parks, and local culinary treats. Dalat is a favourite destination for company weekend outings, family get-aways, and honeymooners. Most guidebooks for overseas visitors describe Dalat as a tourist town with a colourful approach to tourism.
Dalat is a very pleasant stop, on a north-south tour (or vice versa), or a pleasant outing from the heat of Saigon. For overseas visitors, it offers mostly a chance to cool down, observe some beautiful landscape and agriculture, view a bit of the French legacy, the Indochine legend and its momentous glories and the architecture untouched by the Vietnam conflict left behind,a unique place to enjoy the atmosphere of a unique country and its people.
Dalat is also surrounded by some of the best mountain biking, hiking and canyoning opportunities in Vietnam, with hills of coffee and tea plantations, which evoke images of the colonial hill stations of the north of India.
Dalat's high altitude (1500-2000m) and fertile landscape make it one of Vietnam's premier agricultural areas, producing varieties of fruits, vegetables, tea, coffee beans, and flowers that do not grow in the lowlands. In markets as far north as Hanoi and Hai Phong, vegetable and flower vendors will tout their made in Dalat produce.

Ho Chi Minh City Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Ho Chi Minh City, on the southern tip of Vietnam, is one of South East Asia’s emerging boom cities. Still affectionately known by many as Saigon, this is Vietnam’s largest city and its economic engine room.
Ho Chi Minh City has an irrepressible soul and an entrepreneurial energy that hums day and night. Despite almost a century of colonialism and brutal conflict, today this city is renowned for its warm hospitality, which even extends to former foes. A youthful enthusiasm flows through this city, just like the stream of scooters, motorbikes and cars that flow endlessly through its chaotic streets.
In Ho Chi Minh City, it feels as though the future has arrived… and yet the past is never far away. Wide boulevards built during the French colonial era are lined with cutting edge skyscrapers, while jasmine scented temples gently rub shoulders with chic rooftop bars
More than 9 million people call Ho Chi Minh City home and the dynamic energy of its streets is part of its charm. The city is divided into a series of numbered districts and District One is where almost all of the city’s main attractions can be found.
As the sun goes down, find yourself a seat at one of Ho Chi Minh City’s famous rooftop bars, a perfect way to soak up the buzz of the city.
Dynamic, chaotic and energizing. Ho Chi Minh city may have burst onto the world stage as a battle zone but today, there is no better destination to plug in to the pulse of 21st century Asia.
