North Dakota Blitz Ride

Felt good to be back on the bike, and when Dead Stock Paradise came on while I was riding, I knew I had to use it for the video.
Had some gremlins this ride:
1) Thought I had a burned out left turn signal
2) Above turned out to be a failure of the sticky-mounts provided with the lightbar kit to stay stuck (I knew I should have wire tied it) causing the tire to eat into the wiring harness. Had electrical tape, but no wire tools... I made a minor repair and zip-tied it in place. It was intermittently working the rest of the ride.
3) My on-bike charger for my gopro died (not sure if on the ride or before.. but it wasnt charging, so when I got to the point of wanting to record, my bacpac battery was already nearly depleted (downside of the battery warmers? I have found the thing drains down on its own rather fast even in the heat).
4) I lost the left yellow lens cap for the turn signal somewhere on the tri-state tollway... I am pretty sure it was at a rather nasty out-of-nowhere bump that tossed me from the saddle... either that or just the evil ... I guess they are frost heave crack things?
5) I developed an odd wear pattern on my front tire. The left side of the rain notch where the rain notch moved to the left (all these in relative to drivers location) had a marred / burned look to it with a fairly sharp peak every notch. The right side had this to a much lesser extent... and not on every notch over.
Speaking of... I-94 between mile markers 50 and 100 in Wisconsin SUCKS.. it reminds me of I-74 between Indianapolis and half-way to kentucky.. even though I thought asphalt was laid continuously ... it seems that there are regular seams in it... and somehow these push on each other and form rough high peaks. In a car this just is a pop / slap noise, but in a middle-weight motorcycle like mine, they really hurt... Interestingly, there were quite a few signs in wisconsin that said BUMP ... but those I couldn't tell at all any different between before, during, and after, although looking at the road surface it is obvious that it is a long-period peak thing... where a heavy car would gain a fair amount of downward momentum before hitting the upward part, thus a rather abrupt change for them.
I think states should be charged for failure to maintain interstates at interstate road standards... road conditions like those in Wisconsin seriously damage and wear out vehicles prematurely.
