Places to see in ( Corsica - France ) Centuri
Places to see in ( Corsica - France ) Centuri
Centuri is a commune in the Haute-Corse department of France on the island of Corsica. The village of Centuri is situated to the north-west of Cap Corse, and the Port de Centuri - the highlight of your visit - is a few kilometres along a winding road to the west. The port is the largest fishing port on Cap Corse
As with several of the highlights around Cap Corse (such as Barcaggio and Rogliano), you need to drive a few kilometres away from the main route around Cap Corse to reach the Port de Centuri. It is very worthwhile, however, so allow yourself enough time.
There is a large car park just before you reach the port, from where you can see the coastline and a small beach but little clue that one of the most attractive little fishing villages in Corsica is just round the corner. Not unlike Erbalunga in south-east Cap Corse, Centuri is a small and traditional fishing port. The port is surrounded by simple two storey buildings, many painted in pastel colours, which adds to its charm while numerous small fishing boats can be seen in the water.
We recommend you arrive at luchtime: wandering around the harbour doesn't take long but Centuri is a lovely place to sit in one of the restaurants overlooking the port while enjoying a slow Corsican lunch. Otherwise there is also a nice ice-cream shop in the harbour where you can easily pass 30 minutes. Just outside Centuri there is a small pebble beach - not perhaps the most exciting beach in Corsica, but very pleasant and with rocks to either side. Ideal for a siesta after enjoying your lunch in one of the restaurants in the port
Although most visitors never venture beyond the port, there are several historic monuments among the cluster of small villages that together make up Centuri. Thes include the neo-medieval style Château de Bellavista at Ortinola, built in the late 19th century, and the much older Tower-Castle at Merlacce. At Camera, back on the main Cap Corse coast road above Centuri, there is a group of buildings including the Church of Saint-Sylvester, an imposing belltower and a classical style chapel in a location with nice views out across the Mediterranean.
If you would like to see a more impressive beach you can continue to Barcaggio at the far north of the Cap Corse peninsula. The route, which also includes the small port at Tollare and some attractive scenery, is to the north of Ersa. Further east we also suggest you visit the group of hamlets that together make up the village of Rogliano.

Places to see in ( Corsica - France ) Citadelle de Corte
Places to see in ( Corsica - France ) Citadelle de Corte
The citadel of Corte (nicknamed Eagle's Nest ) is a citadel of the xviii th century built around a castle of the xv th century and Museum of Corsica of 1984 in Corte in Corsica . The citadel has been listed as a historic monument since 10 August 1977. In 1419 the Count and Viceroy of Corsica Vincentello d'Istria ( vassal of King Alfonso V of Aragon ) built the castle at the top of the rock that dominates the city, in Upper Corsica halfway between Bastia and Ajaccio , with a crenellated wall and three towers, to fight the Republic of Genoa for the Kingdom of Aragon . Between 1421 and 1434 he reigns supreme over Corsica and installs the seat of his government in Corte.
In the xviii th century General of the Nation Pascal Paoli made Corte the capital of his government for the Corsican nation . In 1769 after the May 9th defeat of his Corsican troops at the Battle of Ponte-Novo against those of King Louis XV , Corsica passed under French rule . The Count de Vaux then ordered to increase the fortifications of the city by the construction of the current citadel, on the principle of fortifications and constructions of Vauban(only citadel among the six Corsican citadels to be built inland). The construction of the Padua Barracks is completed in 1776. Between 1962 and 1983 the citadel is occupied by the foreign legion ( foreign Legion training group ).
In 1984 the site is open to the public. It offers exceptional panoramic views of the Valleys of Restonica and Tavignano . The castle inside the citadel welcomes:
The Museum of Corsica (Museum of Art and History and Regional Museum of Anthropology of Corsica).
The regional fund of contemporary art of Corsica (FRACORSE)
The Center for Scientific and Technical Culture of Corsica (CCSTI)
The tourist center centru di Corsica.

Places to see in ( Bastia - France )
Places to see in ( Bastia - France )
Bastia is a city on the French island of Corsica. Bars and restaurants line the Old Port, with the twin-towered Church of St. Jean-Baptiste rising behind it. Terra Nova, a centuries-old citadel with ramparts, was built by Genoese rulers. Nearby is the Cathedral of Ste. Marie, filled with paintings and marble statues. The Governor’s Palace houses the Bastia Museum, showcasing the city’s history.
Filled with heart, soul and character, the bustling old port of Bastia is a good surprise. Sure, it might not measure up to the sexy style of Ajaccio or the architectural appeal of Bonifacio, but it has an irresistible magnetism. Bastia is an authentic snapshot of modern-day Corsica, a lived-in city that’s resisted the urge to polish up its image just to please the tourists. The historical neighbourhoods of Terra Vecchia and Terra Nova are especially vibrant – allow yourself a day to take in the sights and mosey around atmospheric streets and boutiques.
Bastia is a French commune in the Haute-Corse department of France located in the north-east of the island of Corsica at the base of Cap Corse. It also has the second-highest population of any commune on the island after Ajaccio and is the capital of the Bagnaja region and of the department. Bastia is the principal port of the island and its principal commercial town and is especially famous for its wines. Approximately 10% of the population are immigrants. The unemployment rate in the commune has persistently been one of the highest in France, standing at over 20% in 2004.
Located in the North-East of Corsica at the base of the Cap Corse, between the sea and the mountain, Bastia is the principal port of the island. The city is located 35 km (22 mi) away from the northern tip of the Cap Corse, 50 km (31 mi) west from Elba, an Italian island, and 90 km (56 mi) away from continental Italy which can be seen a few days per year when visibility is excellent.
Alot to see in Bastia such as :
Place Saint-Nicolas
Musée de Bastia
Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Bastia
Bastia Cathedral
Palais des Gouverneurs
Réserve naturelle de l'étang de Biguglia
L'Agriate
L'Arinella
Col de Teghime
Alb'Oru Cultural Center.
Église Sainte-Croix de Bastia
Tour d'Erbalunga
Plage de l'Arinella
Jardin Romieu
Corse Miniature animé
La statue de Napoléon dans le style romain
Vieux Port
Lieu de Mémoire Combattante
Mémorial du Col de Teghime

5 Best Luxury Hotels on the Las Vegas Strip
My top recommendations for the best hotels in Las Vegas. Vegas has a staggering array of hotel options. Which hotel should you pick? So many choices! New York, Paris, Venice, you can stay in all of these places on just one street in Las Vegas! Join me as I walk through the 5 most luxurious hotels in Las Vegas, with 5 more honorable mentions that are worth considering if you have the cash!
5. Four Seasons & Delano in Mandalay Bay
Four Seasons: A gaming-free sanctuary at the southernmost end of the Strip. Occupies floors 35-39 of Mandalay Bay, has its own lobby, restaurants—and pool.
Delano: In a separate tower adjacent to Mandalay Bay the Delano is good for travelers wanting a quiet retreat still near the Vegas hustle and bustle.
4. Caesars Palace
Located at the very center of the strip, Caesars Palace is classic Las Vegas that continually reinvents itself and remodels to stay fresh. The most “boutique” rooms are within the Nobu “hotel within a hotel”, of what was once the old Centurion tower.
3. Bellagio
Everybody knows the Bellagio because of the amazing fountain show. In addition to the fountain, it’s a great hotel too. It’s a “newish” hotel, but with an upscale classic vibe.
2. Wynn & Encore
About as far north on the strip as you want to stay, the Wynn & Encore hotels are best described as a floral paradise, with heavy use of red paint, red carpet, and red upholstery. If you like the color red, you’ll love the Wynn and the Encore.
Honorable Mention: Sky Suites at Aria
Honorable Mention: Cosmopolitan
Honorable Mention: Mandarin Oriental
Honorable Mention: Skylofts at MGM Grand
1. Venetian & Palazzo
Themed on Venice Italy, with canals, gondolas, and complete with St. Marks square. My favorite hotel in Las Vegas. The hotel complex is the 2nd largest in the world with 7,117 rooms. And the 2nd largest Casino in the world.. Only bested by the Venetian Macao. Palazzo is the tallest hotel in Las Vegas. With rooms starting at 650 square feet, the standard rooms at the Venetian are among the largest on the Strip -- Even the base-level rooms contain floor-to-ceiling windows, a king-size pillow-top bed dressed in Egyptian cotton sheets, and a bedroom that is partially separated from the sunken living room.

Italy's Best Kept Secrets
Italy's best kept secrets
The Moment one plans to visit Italy, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the canals of Venice shall be on top of their must-see list.
But We Now take you around some of the lesser known attractions in the Italian peninsula.
Number 1 - San Gimignano
This walled medieval hill town in Tuscany is known as “the Town of Fine Towers”, and is famed for its medieval architecture. Over a dozen towers, coupled with its hilltop location, gives San Gimignano an enchanting skyline. A favorite of writers, a fictionalized version of the town features in EM Forster’s “Where Angels Fear to Tread” as well John Grisham’s “The Broker”. The Sant'Agostino Church houses some artwork from the Renaissance era for art connoisseurs.
Number 2 - Civita di Bagnoregio
A town in the province of Viterbo, about 120 Kilometers north of Rome. Civita di Bagnoregio, founded 2500 years ago by the Etruscans, is home to only ten people and has no post office, supermarket or hospital. Located atop a plateau overlooking the Tiber valley, this beautiful town has stood tall despite witnessing countless wars.
Number 3 - Salina
This island, which is home to six volcanoes, features on the World Heritage List primarily because of its value to vulcanology. The island has abundant vegetation with ferns, poplars, and chestnut trees of various kinds. It takes quite a while to reach Salina from mainland Italy, which is why it is less popular with tourists than many of Italy's other attractions.
Number 4 - Santo Stefano di Sessanio
A small town in Abruzzo, located in Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park. Many properties in the region have been restored due to the efforts of Swedish-Italian entrepreneur Daniele Kihlgren in the early 2000s: his commitment to preserving the town's ancient architecture has made it a hugely popular destination for Italian tourists.
Number 5 - Castel del Monte
Located in the heart of the Gran Sasso mountain range, the town is set in a steep hillside near the high plain of Campo Imperatore. “La Notte delle Streghe” or “The Night of the Witches” is one of the major tourist attractions of the town, whose population was just above 450 in December 2013.
Number 6 - Bolzano
The capital of Italy’s northernmost region of South Tyrol, it was part of Germany until World War I. The discovery of Otzi – the well-preserved natural mummy of a man who lived around 3,300 BCE – was made in this region. Bolzano is a perfect mixture of Northern European and Mediterranean influences
Number 7 - Calabria
It is located at the toe of the Italian peninsula in Southern Italy. Calabria is bordered to the west by the Tyrrhenian Sea, and to the east by the Ionian Sea. Interestingly, in ancient times the region of Calabria was known as Italy before the name was extended to the entire peninsula. Scilla, Tropea, Capo Vaticano, Gerace, and Squillace are some of the best-known coastal attractions of Calabria.
Number 8 - Selinunte
The abandoned city of Selinunte contains five temples centered on an acropolis, including the historic Temple of Hera. Located on the south-western coast of Sicily, it is considered one of the most impressive ancient sites in the Mediterranean.
Number 9 - Marettimo
One of the Aegadian Islands in the Mediterranean Sea west of Sicily, Marettimo is a haven for scuba divers. Home to 300 people in winter, the number of residents more than doubles in the summer on an island that is also a breeding ground for some very rare species of plants.
Number 10 - Porto Venere
Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, along with five nearby villages that make up the Cinque Terre, Porto Venere is located in the province of La Spezia. The Gothic Church of St. Peter, Doria Castle, and the Romanesque church of St. Lawrence are some of the must visits for travelers to the town.
