Crossed by the Yerbal Chico creek, it constitutes a natural protected area. This Important Bird Area is inhabited by several endangered species, such as Agelaius flavus, Xolmis dominicanus, Limnoctites rectirostris, Sporophila cinnamomea, Sporophila ruficollis.
