5 things to do on Magnetic Island
This perfect weekend escape is just 20 minutes from Townsville. Introducing, Magnetic Island. This little slice of paradise is the Great Barrier Reef's only island with its own postcode – fun fact!
Two-thirds of Magnetic Island is National Park and is surrounded by easily accessible bays and sandy beaches just waiting to be explored as well as encapsulated by granite boulders adding to its unique charm.
The best way to experience Maggie, as it is affectionately known to the locals, is to get off the bitumen and explore the natural surroundings of this island paradise.
Get back to nature on the Forts Walk, keeping your eyes peeled for koalas, feed the rock wallabies or get your adrenaline pumping with watersports at Horseshoe Bay.

PORT MELBOURNE- STATION PIER - BEACON COVE - MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA
(Port Melbourne) is an inner suburb of Melbourne, Australia, 5 km south-west from Melbourne central business district. It is split between the local government areas of Melbourne and Port Phillip. The area to the north of the West Gate Freeway is in the City of Melbourne. The area to the south is in the City of Port Phillip. At the 2016 Census, Port Melbourne had a population of 16,175.
The formerly industrial Port Melbourne has been subject to intense urban renewal over the past two decades. As a result, Port Melbourne is a diverse and historic area, featuring industrial and port areas along the Yarra, to open parklands, bayside beaches, exclusive apartments and Bay Street's restaurants and cafes. The suburb also forms a major transport link from east to west, home to one end of the West Gate Bridge.

O-Week at La Trobe University [AUSTRALIA episode 4]
My first full week in Melbourne was super busy! After everyone moved in we had a week of orientation events and college parties (o-week) to get used to our new university. They also had a concert at the end of the week (Oh! Fest) which a bunch of Aussie artists performed at. The headliner was Drapht (as an American I had no idea who he was but kids traveled hours from other parts of Victoria to come see him so he must be pretty legit haha). Besides events put on by the university, we also took this week to explore Melbourne more before we had classes to worry about. We went to our local uni bar for the first time (Stollies) and also got to experience White Night in the Melbourne CBD. During White Night, the city was lit up with lights, had free live bands and art, and was overly packed with people, keeping the city alive (and us out) all night long - it was a really cool experience. We also went to St Kilda Beach for the first time which was also a lot of fun!
Next video - Sydney!
