14. Sailing to Milos in the Greek Islands | Sailing around the world | Sailing Cyclades in winter
This week we leave Ios on a beautiful winters morning. After all the storms, rain, sleet, hail, winds and clouds we have experienced in the Dodecanese and Cyclades in the last couple of months we lap up the sun, sunrises and sunsets! We cruise through the middle of the Cyclades where we can see Naxos, Paros, Anti Paros, Sikinos, Sifnos and Milos all at the same time.
We decide to anchor for the night in Pyrogonisi Bay near Alyki on the Island of Kimolos. It is calm, quiet, picturesque, green and we are fortunate enough to take in the crystal clear waters, stunning sunrise and the biggest super moon of the year!
The next day we head to Milos passing Klima the colourful fishing village. We experience the calmest day since we bought our boat and several turtles popping up to say hello. As usual with sailing in the Cyclades in winter, there is no one at the anchorage in Adamas except for many dugongs which was really cool to see.
Jase is still on the hunt for a fish as we sail the mediterranean and although we don't land it, he experiences his first close encounter on the way to Kithnos haha. Kithnos is stunning and we would have loved to stay longer however we are in a rush to beat 60 knot gusts in the coming days. Seems like over winter there was always a big blow or storm coming through the Cyclades every few days.
We hope you enjoy!

About us:
Our names are Jason and Tracey and we traded our house, cars, business, job and security for freedom, adventure, travel and living simply amongst nature and the seas on our 45 foot Hanse sailing boat, Kawai.
We don't know exactly where the winds will take us at this stage but over the next year we hope to sail to Turkey, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Gibraltar, Canary Islands and then across the Atlantic Ocean.
Jase loves making travel videos and we decided to upload to youtube to share our adventure. We really hope you enjoy and feel free to drop us a comment any time to chat or subscribe to follow along :)

Our SAILBOAT up a South American Jungle River!? - Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 194
Why would you sail your home up a jungle river in French Guyana? Well, because it’s fun obviously! One of our favorite things is exploring off the beaten path in Delos, and taking our sailing home up a fresh water river is too cool to pass up. We get Delos way back off of a small tributary and anchor up for some dinghy exploring in Maggie. We notice that the animals are extremely skittish, and and find a patch of forest that’s been utterly destroyed by illegal logging.
We return to the town of Maroni to seek answers and try to figure out what’s going on. We tour a traditional village in Suriname, witness the local carnival, and finally end up a a wildlife sanctuary where we get some answers about what’s going on with the ultra-skittish monkeys. Then when our trip to French Guyana just couldn’t get any more random we get access to the European Spaceport and are able to film an Ariane V rocket launch! Incredible!!!
Fair Winds, peace, and love from Brian, Karin, Alex, and Brady.

The MAGICAL Island that Chooses YOU! Ilha Anchieta, Brasil - Sailing Vessel Delos Ep.174
Welcome to Ilha Anchieta, one of the most magical places we have ever visited! This island, which once acted as the Alcatraz of Brasil, is full of history, crazy characters, and beautiful creatures! There are not many places in the world that remain as naturally intact and protected as this special little island a few miles off the coast of Brasil. Check out the crew as we get to know our buddy Arturo a bit better and make friends with local Capybara's, monkeys, and anteaters! BRASIL- we love you! So stoked to share this place with the TRIBE Much Love, Blue!

This is our story, a story of three souls sailing around the world. It is a story about sailing and travel and adventure. But it's also a story about meeting amazing people and making life long friends. It's a story of people living their lives in an alternate way, in close connection with the beautiful people and amazing planet that we call home. Our experience has affected us so profoundly we want to share it, hoping that others may find inspiration to follow their dreams and do what they love.

EXTREME SAILING – Luckyfish meets TOP GEAR
On Luckyfish we have shared some amazing anchorages with equally amazing neighbours. From the Pacific double canoe Hokulea to Superyachts. In Barbados we were blown away when the MOD 70 trimaran, Ms Barbados pulled up next to us ! We were treated to watching this state of the art boat up close over the next days, as she rehearsed for a memorable appearance in Amazon’s The Grand Tour.
Also in this episode we tour Barbados, check out our Coppercoat bottom and visit one of the Top 10 beaches in the world.
We hope you enjoy, comment and question. And, do like, SHARE and subscribe if you want more!

Almost every cruiser these days has a cat or wants a cat, but the fact is, few can afford them. Here at Luckyfish Gets Away we believe that cruising has always been about the performance, not the stage. We try to keep our platform simple and sustainable, so we can max out on experiences.

Ep. 27 Sailing into paradise: Tobago Cays
After a long stopover it is time to sail on to a special destination. We set course for Union Island and the Tobago Cays. One of the most paradise destinations in the carieb. This produces beautiful images, both under water and from the air.
