Tour of HASKELL FREE LIBRARY in Canada and U.S. - WildTravelsTV.com
Vermont's Haskell Free Library and Opera House is located right on the border between Canada and the U.S. - Quebec and Vermont.
It's the only public building that straddles the U.S. - Canadian line. which makes it the only place you can check out a book, catch a show, and defect to a foreign country without ever leaving the building. The locals seem to peacefully coexist, as WILD TRAVELS host Will Clinger found out on a 2016 visit for the second season of the show. You can visit our website for more on the other stories covered in Season 2.
WILD TRAVELS is a travel series celebrating the uniqueness of America in its unusual, eccentric, and downright quirky people, places and events.

What is the story behind this video?
#AnilStory4
Vermont is in the New England region of the United States. The Green Mountain State is known for its beautiful fall foliage and its maple syrup. We went to see fall foliage and stayed there for 3 days. During our trip we visited Derby Line, VT. which is well known for the Haskell Free Library and Opera House, which was built on the international border of the USA and Canada.
And also we visited stowe a small beautiful town in vermont. We biked stowe recreation path and also completed a corn maze.
Enjoy the video!

The International Border You Won't Believe Exists!
In the post 9/11 world of increased security, a place like this shouldn't exist. In East Richford, Vermont E. Richford Slide Road starts in the United States, dips north into Quebec, Canada and then returns to the U.S. All without a border crossing.
Oh, and don't think you could just cross the border illegally here...the Border Patrol are everywhere.
Approaching the Canadian Border from Vermont - I-89
Sorry this is a bit jumpy. I was holding the camera in my hand as I drove. It is just after sunset and I'm driving from the US into Canada. I shut the camera off just as we cross the border because I do not know if it is legal to video Canadian border personnel.
Unique US-Canada Border Town
Haskell Free Library is situated right on the US-Canada border. This border town is a very unique place to experience.
