Fari the village of Crete for sale
This is the village of Crete that demands that the whole Athenian company buy it and turn it into a traditional tourist resort. In order to do so, however, all owners will have to agree first and as it
seems the procedures are still at an early stage.
With homeowners we spoke yesterday at the Fari for filming our video, they confirmed the facts and said they were positive about the impact of selling and exploiting their eroded village.
It is the deserted village of Ferri in the municipality of Faistos, located south of Psiloritis in the law of Heraklion.
A very beautiful hamlet that lived in life before it was abandoned by some 300 people who were looking for a better fortune in urban centers in the early 80's.

Αυτό είναι το χωριό της Κρήτης που ζητάει ολόκληρο να το αγοράσει Αθηναϊκή εταιρία και να το μετατρέψει σε παραδοσιακό τουριστικό θέρετρο. Για να το καταφέρει όμως θα πρέπει πρώτα να συμφωνήσουν όλοι οι ιδιοκτήτες και απότι φαίνεται η διαδικασίες είναι ακόμα σε αρχικό στάδιο.
Με ιδιοκτήτες σπιτιών που μιλήσαμε εχθές που βρεθήκαμε στο Φαρί για τα γυρίσματα του βίντεο μας επιβεβαίωσαν τα γεγονότα και δήλωσαν θετικοί στο ενεχόμενο πώλησης και αξιοποίησης του ερειπωμένου τους χωριού.
Είναι το εγκαταλελειμμένο χωριό Φερί του δήμου Φαιστού που βρίσκεται νότια του Ψηλορείτη στον νόμο Ηρακλείου.
Ένα πολύ όμορφο χωριουδάκι που έσφυζε από ζωή πριν εγκαταλειφθεί από τους 300 περίπου κατοίκους του που έψαχναν μια καλύτερη τύχη στα αστικά κέντρα στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 80 ‘.

Γυθειο Ναυάγιο - Gythio shipwreck -Greece from air
One of the lesser tourist attraction in greece is the shipwreck of navagio dimitrios.
Very few people in greece knew about this shipwreck, because it is far from the capital - athens and very difficult to go to using public transportation.
little is known about navagio dimitrios and there arent any informations could be found in the internet because it is a lesser known shipwreck in greece and overshadowed by the famous zakynthos but what i find interesting about the navagio, is that although rusting it is still intact and probably the wreck only happened in the last decade or so.
Navagio dimitrios is located almost at the tip of mainland greece, in the region called mani peninsula in the peloponessos about 4-5 hours by car driving from athens.

Κάποτε ήταν ένα εξωτικό περιβάλλον όπου πήγαιναν οι Αθηναίοι για να δροσιστούν τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες. Μικροί και μεγάλοι έκαναν βουτιές στις τεράστιες πισίνες και γλιστρούσαν από τις νεροτσουλήθρες. Εξωτικά φυτά και τεχνητά νησιά μετέφεραν τους επισκέπτες σε ένα περιβάλλον που θύμιζε νησί της Καραϊβικής, αν και βρισκόταν μόλις 15 λεπτά από κέντρο της Αθήνας. Το Copa Copana ήταν ένα σύγχρονο υδάτινο πάρκο, το οποίο άνοιξε το 2007 στα όρια του δήμου Χαϊδαρίου με τον Σκαραμαγκά. Το Copa Copana βρίσκεται στο Χαϊδάρι Απείχε μόλις λίγα λεπτά από το κέντρο της πόλης και αποτελούσε καλοκαιρινό προορισμό για χιλιάδες Αθηναίους. Κάλυπτε μια έκταση 3.000 τ.μ. και κόστισε 10 εκατομμύρια ευρώ. Σήμερα είναι εγκαταλελειμμένο και τίποτα δεν θυμίζει το πρόσφατο παρελθόν. Το 2009 ο δήμος ανακάλεσε την άδεια λειτουργίας του και το πάρκο έκλεισε. Το 2011 άνοιξε ξανά αλλά έκλεισε οριστικά λίγο αργότερα. ...

Gorgopotamos Phthiotis, Greece| Crossing historic bridge
Gorgopotamos (Greek: Γοργοπόταμος) is a village and a former municipality in Phthiotis, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it is part of the municipality Lamia, of which it is a municipal unit.[2] The municipal unit has an area of 157.300 km2.[3] It is located 8 km southwest of Lamia and 34 km north of Amfissa. In 2011 its population was 453 for the village and 3,374 for the municipal unit. The seat of the municipality was in Moschochori. It is named after the river Gorgopotamos which flows through the municipal unit (its name means in Greek the rushing river). The Oiti mountains, a national park, lie to the southwest. The northeastern part of the municipal unit lies in the wide and flat Spercheios valley. The municipal unit of Gorgopotamos borders Lamia to the north and Phocis to the southwest.
The Gorgopotamos Bridge is one of the most famous bridges in Greece. It crosses Gorgopotamos and connects Bralo with Lamia while it carries the Athens-Thessaloniki railway line. The bridge is well known for its role in the National Resistance, as it was destroyed on 25 November 1942 in the battle of Gorgopotamos by Greek rebels from the EDES and ELAS organizations, co-operating under British agents, mainly against Italian and German forces

Cycling in Greece - Athens to Corinth Day 1 Hercules Bike
Day 1 of the Hercules Bike Tour around the Peloponnese of Greece. Today, I was cycling from Athens to Corinth, a distance of about 100km. This was the first of many bike touring vlogs about cycling in Greece during this bicycle tour.
The aim of this bike tour is to visit places in Greece connected with the myth of Hercules and the 12 Labours. Today, I visited Elefsina, an archaeological site that was at one point in time an important religious centre.
It was said that Hercules visited Elefsina in order to be inducted into the Elefsinian Mysteries before descending to the Underworld to capture Cerberus the fearsome three headed dog.
I then cycled on to finish the day in the town of Corinth.
