The Krumovgrad Municipality is located in the Eastern Rhodopes close to the border with the Republic of Greece, covering 843 320 sq. km.
The town is situated on top of a prehistoric settlement. Through the 12C -- 13C it guarded the route to Mossinopol (Gyumyurdjina) traced far back in the remote past. During the Ottoman Yoke there was a wooden mosque where the believers used to gather. A market place was arranged and later the men of enterprise built store houses for storing the goods they were trading in -- hides and furs, cocoon, tobacco and etc. Till 1934 the name of Krumovgrad was Koshou kavak -- coming from the horse races held here and the poplar trees all around.

Dva měsíce a přes 2000km v nohách!!

Cestou nám pomohli:
Československo - 0
Maďarsko - Neměl jsem forinty a nešlo platit kartou, frajer za mnou v řadě zaplatil komplet celý můj velký nákup!
- V Cigándu nám starší paní dala několik flašek s vychlazenou vodou, občerstvení a poskytla nám sprchu a odpočinek!
Bulharsko - zastavil nám Bulhar mluvící česky, odvezl nás do servisu, servis zaplatil, daroval nám broskve
- vždy když jsme někde stáli s píchlým kolem přišel nějaký Bulhar a začal nám pomáhat s opravou, nebo se minimálně nabídl, že chce pomoci
- v jednom městě nám s opravou kola pomohla skupinka mladíků z Afgánistánu či Pákistánu!
Řecko - V městě Xanthi nám správce místního městského parku nabídl, že tam můžeme přespat, dokonce měl o nás takovou péči, že nám chtěl dát i toaleťák!
- na naší tajné pláži nám jeden Albánec Julian, přenechal svůj příbytek, který byl na nejlepším místě z celé pláže, pomohl mi také se stavbou předchozího přístřešku a několikrát mi poskytl občerstvení, když se vrátili po týdnu zpět, nechali nás campovat na stejném místě
- na naší pláži nám nosili lidé jídlo, většinou melouny, fungoval tam dobře výměnný obchod a lidé byli vstřícní
- když jsem tlačil své píchlé neopravitelné kolo, zastavil mi jeden řek a nabídl mi, že mě sveze, kamkoli budu chtít, musel jsem to ale odmítnout, protože Adéla, byla několik kilometrů přede mnou a pravděpodobně odpočívala ve stínu a my nemobilovali
- kousek před vesnicí Agios Vasilios jel v protisměru jeden řek, Janis, otočil auto o 180 stupňů a zastavil těsně přede mnou když jsem tlačil kolo, nepozdravil, nic neříkal a hned mi začal nakládat kolo do jeho auta, nebránil jsem se tomu, dovezl mě do vesničky Agios Vasilios, kde nás brzy dojela i Adéla, chtěl nám pomoci opravit kola, ale servis tam měli zavřený, neuměl anglicky jen řecky a tak nám dal k telefonu svou přítelkyni, mluvil jsem s ní anglicky, ale když jsem s ní už volal snad po třetí, zeptala se where are you from? a já řekl Czech Republic, ona na to zareagovala Tak proč spolu nemluvíme česky? Domluvili jsem se, že nás Janis odveze do nedalekého města naším směrem, kde nám kola Opraví, jenže tam bylo zavřeno a tak nám Janis nabídl, že nás ubytuje, jeli jsme zpět do Agios Vasilios, zastavil před jednou cukrárnou a gestikuloval ať si něco vybereme, bylo tam moc draho a já měl peníze v autě, pak nám naznačil že ten podnik je jeho, a ať si vybereme co chceme, byla to nejlepší cukrárna a pekárna v okolí, kde jsme po celou dobu měli všechno gratis, pak nás ubytoval ve své vile, pustil nám české programy, ukázal nám obraz s Prahou a donesl nám slivovici, jeho přítelkyně Natali, byla Češka, ovšem Janis o tom neměl ani páru, když mě nabíral, že jsem z Česka, náhodička?? Byli jsme u něj 2 noci, v jejich vesničce jsme byli celebrity, Dovezli nás autem do Nea Perea, byli jsme na mega luxusní oběd, který opět platili oni, nakonec nás Janis odvezl do Thessaloniki do servisu.
