Eskilstrup is a town some 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) north of Nykobing Falster on the Danish island of Falster. As of 2015, it has a population of 1,082. Eskilstrup Church built in the Romanesque style dates from the 12th century. In accordance with a local tradition, it is painted red. It is best known for its frescos, said to be Denmark's oldest.
The town has grown up around Eskilstrup Station which opened together with the Falster Railway in 1872. The earliest buildings included the businesses and hotel close to the station on the main street.
Eskilstrup is conveniently located close to the E47 motorway from Copenhagen to Rødby Havn. Facilities include a school, sportshall, day nursery, food store and a hotel. There are beech woods in the surrounding countryside and it is not far to the coast. Some 300 children attend the local school. Local landmarks include the water tower, windmill and sportshall. Nearby Ønslev benefits from the town's activities and services.
Eskilstrup is home to Danmarks Traktormuseum (Denmark's Tractor Museum) with some 200 tractors from the beginnings up to 1970. Also in the neighbourhood is the Krokodille Zoo with Europe's largest collection of living crocodiles. One of the region's oldest churches, Torskilstrup Church, lies 4 km (2.5 mi) northeast of Eskilstrup.

DSB, an abbreviation of Danske Statsbaner (Danish State Railways), is the largest Danish train operating company, and the largest in Scandinavia. While DSB is responsible for passenger train operation on most of the Danish railways, goods transport and railway maintenance are outside its scope. DSB runs a commuter rail system, called S-train, in the area around the Danish capital, Copenhagen, that connects the different areas and suburbs in the greater metropolitan area. DSB also operates some trains in Sweden.
DSB was founded in 1885 when the state-owned companies De jysk-fynske Statsbaner and De sjællandske Statsbaner merged.

The DSB class ME are a series of diesel-electric locomotives, introduced in 1981. A total of 37 units were built, all by the German factory Henschel for the Danish State Railways (DSB). They were among the very first AC drive locomotives in serial production.
The locomotives were designed to haul the more heavy regional services in Sjælland, Denmark, in the early 1980s, replacing much of the old rolling stock in use at the time.
The first unit, 1501 arrived in 1981 after many years of delay.[citation needed] Three years later, in 1983, DSB had received a total of 30 units.[citation needed] Although there had been some serious trouble with the locomotives, DSB found a solution on the problems, and an additional seven units were delivered.
All the ME locomotives remain in service in 2014, with the exception of one unit which was scrapped after a fire. However, it is expected that the ME locomotives and the last passenger coaches in service will be replaced by IC3 trainsets when the IC4 trainsets take over intercity services.
Currently the units are painted in DSB's blue/red livery. The locos are technically very identical to the NSB Di4.

The DSB Class EA was the first electric locomotive in Denmark, introduced in 1984. In total, 22 units were built for the DSB, about half were acquired by Deutsche Bahn in 2001 when it took over the freight business of DSB. Between 2007 and 2010 many of the locomotives began freight services in Bulgaria, as of 2010 only six units remain with the Danish state railways.
The first stretch of railway in Denmark was electrified in March 1986; DSB needed an electric locomotive that could be used as a combined freight/passenger unit. The locomotive was based on the German Class 120. The customisation included a re-designed body (adapted to DSB's new locomotive design first used on the Class ME), and adaption to the Danish overhead wire voltage (25 kV 50 Hz, as opposed to the 15 kV 16 2⁄3 Hz voltage used in Germany and other Scandinavian countries).
The locomotives were manufactured by a consortium of companies led by BBC: BBC (after 1998 ABB, Siemens Henschel (after 1990 ABB Henschel), Thyssen-Henschel, EB Strømmen and ABB Scandia. The locomotives can work in push pull mode and in multiple.
The bodies of the first two locomotives were manufactured by Henschel in Germany, the remaining units Scandia. Initially the locomotives worked on passenger trains in Zealand, after the opening of the Great Belt Fixed Link in 1997 the locomotives were used on services on Funen and Jutland. After the introduction of the IR4 trains the locomotives were mostly used on passenger services.
In 2001 the freight arm of DSB (DSB Gods) was acquired by Railion and ten locomotives, numbers 3011 to 3019 and 3021 became the property of Railion Denmark. In 2007 5 locomotives were sold to private Bulgarian gas firm Bulmarket for use on its liquified gas trains.
In 2010 DB Schenker Bulgaria began running trains in Bulgaria, using ex DSB EA locomotives it had inherited from Railion; the locomotives received class number 86 whilst retaining the original locomotive number.

Østerport Station is a main line and S-train railway station in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located between the districts of Indre By and Østerbro, and is named for the historic Østerport city gate, near the original location of which it is located.
The station is served by EuroCity services to international destinations, some InterCity services across Denmark, regular and frequent regional train services to and from Zealand and southern Sweden, as well as commuter rail services on the S-train network. By 2019, the service will include the Copenhagen Metro as well (future lines M3 and M4).
The station opened in 1897 as the terminus of the Coast Line from Copenhagen to Helsingør. The station is used by approximately 30,000 passengers each day.
