Take a look at the trains and restaurants at the Oslo Central Station. This is the largest train station in Norway and opened i 1980. Østbanehallen where you'll find most of the restaurants is a former train hall converted to hotel and restaurants.

Norwegian Railways: Hol Stasjon ~ passing trains of the Bergensbanen

On Sunday, June 24, 2018, I visited Hol Stasjon, or Hol Station, together with members of Hol Historielag from Hol Kommune, in Norway. The station of Hol is indeed a historical place, with a railway station that is on the list of protected buildings in Norway.
When we were there two trains of the Bergensbanen passed each other here. To make this passing possible one of the trains has to wait. The train from Bergen into the direction of Oslo stopped, and the train from Oslo to Bergen could pass in a high speed.

The station building at Hol Station was built in 1911, 2 years after the Bergensbanen was opened. It is a design of architect Harald Kaas on the basis of drawings prepared by architect Paul Due. Due has drawn the station building at Haugastøl, and Due's drawings of Station Haugastøl were the basis of architect Kaas' drawings of Hol Station. It is an example of Due's smaller Art Nouveau buildings, and is one of its own variants, unique in the total of the Bergensbanen stations. Today, the building is just the same as it was in the time there was passengers traffic at Hol Station. The difference however is that the building is closed!
