Scandinavian Tour 2018: 1 - Todmorden to Evje

Part one of our tour of Scandinavia in June 2018. This episode covers our journey from home in Todmorden, through the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, arriving in Evje in Norway on our third night.

Since the demise of direct ferries from the UK to Norway, this part of the journey was always going to involve travelling a lot of miles, many of them on motorways. Don't let that put you off... there's lots to see along the way and the roads and scenery in Norway will more than make up for the sore backside.

Our route took us across the North Sea from Hull to Rotterdam, riding west across the Netherlands, then north through Germany and Denmark to Hirtshals where we caught a ferry to Kristiansand in Norway. We'll post GPX sat nav files for our route soon.

Please that that the route planning software I used insists on mucking up the ferry crossing from Hirtshalls in Denmark to Kristiansand in Norway.
