Amazonica serves two Colombian desserts Cholados and Obleas. If you don’t know what these are a Cholados is a cross between a frozen dessert, fruit cocktail and a drink. Made with crushed ice, fresh fruit, condensed milk, and a mix of fruits, Colombian syrup and shredded coconut. Now Obleas are wafer like sweet filled with Nutella, Dulce de Leche or Jam.
I tried two Cholados and three Obleas and I was blown away! I had know idea these delicious Colombian street foods existed, now I know!

First Steps in Murcia - Spain 4K Travel Channel
After dropping our baggage in the hotel Catalonia Conde De Floridablanca, we immediately get on the way to explore the city. Around the corner is a small but beautiful park, the Jardin de Floridablanca, where the sardine greets us. It's not decorated yet, but this shall change soon.
At the exit of the park is a car of the city administration .... with electric drive.
The church Parroquia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen is at the other end of the park.
At the Plaza de Camachos, the oldest square of the city, we see a monument of a Sardinero (Monumento de Sardinero).
It commemorates the founding of a custom dating back to 1850 when students wanted to imitate a parade at the end of Lent in Madrid. Dark figures with pointed hoods followed a coffin containing an unfortunate sardine that was subsequently burned.
This is how the festival of El Entierro de la Sardina or the Burial of the Sardine came about. Unlike other regions in Spain, the festival in Murcia is not celebrated on Ash Wednesday but at the end of the week following Easter; the time after the Semana Santa, the holy Easter week, when traditionally no meat is eaten.
The Rio Segura cuts through the city and divides it into two halves. We watch the peaceful activities around a stone sardine in the river for a while.
Today, mighty embankment walls protect the city, which has suffered from some flooding. In 1651, the city was completely flooded, and more than 1,000 people died. When the earth is dry and heavy rains occur, huge amounts of water from the mountains stream to the sea.
The remains of a torn-away bridge are preserved as a memorial.
Murcia has also been affected by earthquakes and wars.
On the opposite bank is a large market hall, which we will visit later. We go on to the festively adorned city hall, the Ayuntamiento de Murcia, which also is called Glorieta Espana. Marvelous flowers and little fountains stimulate the place and give it a wonderful atmosphere.
Through a small side street, we reach the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, the large square in front of the cathedral.
Children dance groups entertain the audience. One already promotes the kids, for future parades.

Nachdem wir unser Gepäck im Hotel Catalonia Conde De Floridablanca abgestellt haben, machen wir uns sofort auf den Weg, die Stadt zu erkunden. Um die nächste Straßenecke ist ein kleiner aber sehr schöner Park, der Jardin de Floridablanca, in dem uns die Sardine begrüßt. Noch ist sie nicht geschmückt, aber das soll sich bald ändern.
Am Ausgang des Parks steht ein Auto der Stadtverwaltung....mit Elektroantrieb.
Am anderen Ende des Parks befindet sich die Kirche Parroquia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
An der Plaza de Camachos, dem ältesten Platz der Stadt, sehen wir ein Denkmal eines Sardineros (Monumento de Sardinero).
Es erinnert an die Gründung des Brauches aus dem Jahre 1850, als Studenten eine Parade zum Ende der Fastenzeit in Madrid imitieren wollten. Dunkle Gestalten mit spitzen Hauben folgten einem Sarg, in dem eine unglückliche Sardine lag, die anschließend verbrannt wurde.
So entstand das Fest El Entierro de la Sardina oder Das Begräbnis der Sardine. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Regionen in Spanien, wird das Fest in Murcia nicht am Aschermittwoch sondern am Ende der Woche nach Ostern gefeiert; der Zeitpunkt an dem die Semana Santa, die heilige Osterwoche in der traditionell kein Fleisch gegessen wurde, vorbei ist.
Der Rio Segura durchtrennt die Stadt und teilt sie in zwei Hälften. Wir beobachten eine Weile das friedliche Treiben, das sich um eine steinerne Sardine im Fluss abspielt.
Mächtige Ufermauern schützen heute die Stadt, die unter mancher Überschwemmung gelitten hat. 1651 wurde die Stadt völlig überflutet, wobei über 1000 Menschen starben. Wenn die Erde ausgetrocknet ist und heftige Regenfälle einsetzen, strömen riesige Wassermassen von den Bergen an das Meer.
Die Reste einer weggerissenen Brücke werden als Mahnmal erhalten. Murcia blieb auch von Erdbeben und Kriegen nicht verschont.
Am gegenüberliegenden Ufer ist eine große Markthalle zu sehen, die wir später noch besuchen wollen. Wir gehen weiter zum festlich geschmückten Rathaus, dem Ayuntamiento de Murcia, das auch Glorieta Espana genannt wird. Herrliche Blumen und kleine Springbrunnen beleben den Platz und verleihen ihm ein herrliches Ambiente.
Durch eine kleine Seitenstraße erreichen wir den Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, den großen Platz vor der Kathedrale.
Kindertanzgruppen unterhalten das Publikum. Man pflegt schon eifrig den Nachwuchs für künftige Paraden.
