Forlì [forˈli] listen is a comune and city in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy, and is the capital of the province of Forlì-Cesena. It is the central city of Romagna. The city is situated along the Via Emilia, to the right of the Montone river, and is an important agricultural centre. In the middle of the square there stands the statue of Aurelio Saffi which is surrounded by some of the most distinguished and ancient buildings of the town. On the southern side of the square there stands the Abbey of San Mercuriale. Next to the Abbey there is the Palazzo Paulucci de Calboli, built at the beginning of the 18th century.
