Ghioroc Lake is a man-made lake located in Ghioroc, Arad County, Romania. The lake has a surface area of approximately 1.050 square kilometers , and is a popular recreational and fishing destination . The lake has several land patches away from the coastline, which are used as holidays resorts or for clubbing.The lake is divided into two sides, Ghioroc 1 and Ghioroc 2. The second side, Ghioroc 2, is the only side opened for tourists. The first side is still being preserved as a mining point. The lake is 22 kilometers from Arad, Romania, and 80 kilometers from Timisoara, Romania.

It is situated at a distance of 34 km from Arad, the county capital, at the contact zone of the Mureș River with the Zărand Mountains, Western Plateau and Lipovei Hills. It administers two villages, Radna and Șoimoș , and its total surface is 134.6 square km. The first written record of the town dates back to 1315 under the name Lipwa. In 1324 the settlement was mentioned as castellanus de Lypua, a place-name that reflects its reinforced character of that time.

King of the hill - Hard Enduro in Arad, Romania. Prologue day 2018

King of the hill hard enduro is an yearly international race, in Arad, Romania. It is one of the hard extreme enduro competitions in Eastern Europe. This years in the competition were over 400 pilots from 20 contries, divided int 4 classes: Hobby, Experts, Veterans & Pros.

Some great names of the Hard Enduro world came to Arad- Wade Young, David Cyprian, Teodor Kabachiev, Lars Enöckl and more.
The route consists of a Prologue day and 2 offroad days in the Zarandului Mountains, with a daily start and finish in the GHIOROC area.

This year the KOTH prologue (day 1) took place in the city of Arad, on the place of a former textile factory. The snow and the cold weather made the race a very harsh one.

Our vlog was made only at the PROLOGUE day, where I have evary year the great pleasure to be the moderator. The Prologue superfinal was won by Wade Young. 2nd came Teodor Kabachiev and 3rd David Cyprian.

The final ranking of KOTH after all 3 days was: 1st place David Cyprian, 2nd- Wade Young, 3rd- Teodor Kabachiev.
