BEST Restaurant in George | South Africa
George is a city in South Africa’s Western Cape and is part of the Garden Route. It’s known for its golf courses and interestingly, we stayed overnight in a property right on a golf estate. Much to see, do, and eat. I highly recommend this city to all world travelers :)

South African beaches: Kleinbrak River, Hartenbos, Mossel Bay (The Western Cape)
A short Christmas visit to Kleinbrak River, near Mossel Bay in the Western Cape, South Africa at end of the 2011. There are scenes of flying, highway driving and an awful amount of fun in the sea (courtesy of the GoPro). There's a beach time lapse, chasing hermit crabs through the river and watching kites in Hartenbos. In my dad's back garden there's a brave attempt to eat 36 oysters. On a sunny day there was a slow stroll around the abandoned power station in nearby Power Town.
Apple Express - Nelson Mandela Bay - South Africa
The Apple Express was started as a tourist train by the then South African Railways (SAR) in 1965, with regular weekend trips to Loerie. Since the late 1980s the lines status as a tourist icon in the Eastern Cape was further entrenched with the annual Great Train Race, during which relay teams of athletes competed with the train over the 70 km distance between Port Elizabeth and Loerie.
The tourism operations on the Apple Express consists mainly of day-trips on the weekend from Port Elizabeth to Loerie with shorter weekday trips for mostly school groups to Chelsea Junction. Longer trips into the Langkloof, and along the Patensie branch, were limited to special steam safaris, with the recent introduction of weekend trips to Assegaaibos Station and Patensie firmly placing this unique rail experience on the list of top experiences in the region.
