Greensborough is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 19 km north-east from Melbourne's Central Business District. Its local government areas are the City of Banyule and the Shire of Nillumbik. At the 2016 Census, Greensborough had a population of 20,821. The suburb was named after settler Edward Bernard Green, who was also the district mail contractor. Formerly it was known as Keelbundoora, Aboriginal for a round swamp.

Werribee Open Range Zoo is an African themed zoo in Werribee, about 32 kilometres south-west of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is part of the Zoological Parks and Gardens Board or 'Zoos Victoria' which also includes Melbourne Zoo and Healesville Sanctuary. It is situated on approximately 225 hectares and is located on the Werribee River in Werribee Park, adjacent to the Werribee Mansion. It was originally agistment land to the Melbourne Zoo.

The Dandenong Ranges are a set of low mountain ranges, rising to 633 metres at Mount Dandenong, approximately 35 km east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The ranges consist mostly of rolling hills, steeply weathered valleys and gullies covered in thick temperate rainforest, predominantly of tall Mountain Ash trees and dense ferny undergrowth. After European settlement in the region, the range was used as a major source of timber for Melbourne. The ranges were popular with day-trippers from the 1870s onwards. Much of the Dandenongs were protected by parklands as early as 1882 and by 1987 these parklands were amalgamated to form the Dandenong Ranges National Park, which was subsequently expanded in 1997. Sensitive Santa

In December 2013, Banyule City Council in partnership with Nillumbik Shire and the City of Whittlesea, and with the guidance of Amaze (Autism Victoria), held three Sensitive Santa events for children on the Autism spectrum and their families.
Many children on the Autism spectrum are unable to visit Santa at shopping centres and other events because it causes sensory overload from bright lights, loud music, long lines and crowds of people and unfamiliar faces.
Our Sensitive Santa events were held in specially designed, closed off rooms featuring low lighting, muted or no music, minimal people and alternative activities and toys. Families booked in for sessions to ensure there was no waiting in line.
The sessions were free and families received a USB stick with photos of their child meeting Santa. Photographers from the Diamond Valley Photography Society focused on natural interactions with Santa, rather than posed photos.
Other partners who helped make this an amazing experience for everyone involved included Diamond Valley Special Developmental School, Yarra Plenty Regional Library, The Rotary Club of Eltham, Harvey Norman in Greensborough, Rudolph and the Christmas Elves in Preston.
Stephen Fox was outstanding as the Sensitive Santa.
