Habikino is a city located in eastern Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It is particularly well known for its grape production, as well as the many ancient burial mounds that dot its landscape. The city was founded on January 15, 1959. As of February 28, 2017, the city has an estimated population of 113,256 and a population density of 4,300 persons per km². The total area is 26.44 km². Yu Darvish was born and grew up in this city.

Hanshin Koshien Stadium , commonly referred to as simply Koshien Stadium, is a baseball park located near Kobe in Nishinomiya, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. The stadium was built to host the national high school baseball tournaments, and opened on August 1, 1924. It was the largest stadium in Asia at the time it was completed, with a capacity of 55,000. The name Kōshien comes from the Sexagenary cycle system. The year of the stadium's founding, 1924, was the first year kōshi in the cycle. The design of the stadium was heavily influenced by the Polo Grounds in New York City. In 1936 it became the home stadium for the Osaka Tigers , now with the Central League. The cities of Sakai, Habikino and Fujiidera are home to
the large keyhole-shaped burial mounds of
the Mozu-Furuichi Kofungun Ancient Tumulus Clusters.
They are important sites for capturing a glimpse
into Japan’s ancient past and their high historical value is
guiding efforts to gain registration as a World Heritage.
