New England is a small area compared to the rest of the Unites States, but it is rich with history and culture. From the Native American tribes to the Revolutionary War, the area provides a great learning experience. But besides the history, the area is filled with many ghostly locations. Here are five haunted places in New England
1. The Lizzie Borden House
On August 4, 1892, this house in Fall River, Massachusetts was the site of two brutal murders of Abby and Andrew Borden that captivated the nation. Andrew’s daughter, Lizzie, was charged but later acquitted of the murders. Now, her home is a bed & breakfast and is New England’s most famous haunted spot. Guest have reported seeing a woman standing at the edge of their bed and others have been have touched. It has been featured on many television shows, and has become a must-see place for ghost seekers.
2. SK Pierce Haunted Victorian Mansion
Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, and My Ghost Stories have all featured this 1875 mansion located in Gardner, Massachusetts. It was once the crown jewel for millionaire SK Pierce, but time has taken its toll on the location. Many spirits is said to haunt the mansion, some friendly and others no so much. Children have been seen running around and furniture on the tops floors has moved. The activity has become so bad that the current owners no longer live there
3. Elder Ballou Cemetery
Located in Cumberland, Rhode Island, the cemetery is one of the creepiest around with its crypts and old tombstones. Once home to a religious meeting house, the cemetery today has been heavily vandalized. However, all forms of paranormal activity have been reported. Voices have been heard, shadow figures have been seen, and UFO’s have been reported in the nearby field.
4. The Captain Grant’s 1754
There are many haunted bed & breakfast establishments in the USA, and this one in Preston, Connecticut is no exception. Named after Captain William Grant, who lived here with his wife Mercy, the inn is said to have many spirits. The Adelaide room is believed to be the most active, with keys being moved and footsteps being heard. The location has been featured on the paranormal show, Psychic Kids.
5. Rutland Prison Camp
Abandon places can be creepy, and this old prison camp is no exception. It was built in 1903 but closed in 1934 with only a few structures still standing, like the root cellar and solitary confinement. A nighttime visit here can be very spooky, filled with odd noises and moving shadows. One ghost is said to be the wife of a former warden that is seen wondering near the ruins of the warden house

Great Yarmouth has been a seaside resort since 1760, and is the gateway from the Norfolk Broads to the North Sea. For hundreds of years Great Yarmouth was a major fishing port, depending mainly on the herring fishery, but Great Yarmouth fishing industry suffered a steep decline in the second half of the 20th century, and has now all but disappeared.
The discovery of oil in the North Sea in the 1960s led to a flourishing oil rig supply industry, and today Great Yarmouth services offshore natural gas rigs. More recently, the development of renewable energy sources, especially offshore wind power, has created further opportunities for support services. A wind farm of 30 generators is within sight of the town on the Scroby Sands. Great Yarmouth has a beach and two piers.
Great Yarmouth is on a 3.1-mile (5.0 km) spit sandwiched between the North Sea and River Yare. Great Yarmouth well-known features include the historic rows (narrow streets) and the main tourist sector on the seafront. The area is linked to Gorleston, Cobholm and Southtown by Haven Bridge and to the A47 and A149 by the Breydon Bridge.
Great Yarmouth is connected to Norwich by the Wherry Lines from Great Yarmouth railway station, it is served by an hourly service provided by Abellio Greater Anglia via Acle or, less frequently, via Reedham. The bus station in Great Yarmouth is the major hub for local routes and is located under Market Gates Shopping Centre. The River Yare cuts off Great Yarmouth from other areas of the borough such as Gorleston and Southtown and so the town's two bridges have become major transport links.

Discover the Norfolk Coast
Take a picturesque 70 mile journey along the Norfolk Coast Path from 'Sunny Hunny' Hunstanton to the golden sandy beaches at Hembsy.
Watch how this beautiful Norfolk coastline changes dramatically as we move from west to east.
From the amazing coloured layered cliffs at Hunstanton to Marram Grass filled sand-dunes at Holkham with miles of shell filled beaches.
Salt marshes and meandering creeks take prominence from Brancaster to Blakeney - areas of outstanding natural beauty!
Cliffs re-emerge at the pebbled filled beach at Weybourne and continue around the North East corner protecting this vulnerable part of the Norfolk coastline from the North Sea until they merge again with sand dunes and gorgeous beaches at Sea Palling and Hemsby.
Also along the route we visit popular tourist spots like Blakeney Quay and the beach huts at Wells next the Sea. We take in views of Sheringham and West Runton from Beeston Bump and marvel at the elegant Cromer Pier.

Abandoned Decayed British Pub which dates back to the 17th Century!
I explore a British Pub which dates back to the 17th century.. it's been abandoned for the past 10 years. If you don't know what a Pub is, it stands for a public house, something that's very popular over here in the UK. Good for socialising with friends, having a beer and watching sport, playing pool or snooker, darts, etc. Watching sports with the family, etc. Or just going for some pub grub = food on a Sunday afternoon. They are usually associated with joy and happiness, not like this place.....
The decay was serious, the place is an absolute deathtrap, extremely dangerous. The smell was foul, damp to the core. However I still enjoyed :P
It still had quite a lot of things left over, even the alcohol in the pipes, the amazing abandoned bar with the pint pumps still there...
Sorry I didn't explore upstairs but the floor was just not safe, I want to explore again another day ;)
The place was very creepy and the basement/cellar felt very sinister, cant explain it... just did, paranormal perhaps? Im unsure, I'd love to revisit when I get a spirit box......
