With all the tourist attractions in Copenhagen, you won't have trouble finding things to do in this exciting Nordic city. But plenty of interesting places are also within easy day-trip distance. You'll find tours offered to many of these, or you can use Denmark's excellent public transportation network to visit them. Some, like the lovely fishing town of Dragør, are an easy bicycle ride away. Denmark has some outstanding castles that you can reach from Copenhagen, the most famous of which is Kronborg Castle, the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet. Danish Nature - Pure nature footage from Vaserne Denmark

Vaserne / Frederikslund Skov is a sprawling natural park with rich greenery, marshlands, flowing grasses, ferns and wizened old trees situated just outside of central Copenhagen. The park sits along the shores of Furesø lake just north of the towns of Holte and Virum. It is best accessed from the Holte S-train stop which is serviced every 10-20 minutes by the A-line. The trip in to central Copenhagen takes roughly 20 minutes and is extremely convenient.

In this video I focus strictly on the nature. The audio (which is recorded separately) is of the bird song during my visit while the video consists of pure nature footage.

Geography[edit]
The town is situated in the middle of Jutland. The town is situated 5 km from Hammerum, which is the Eastern outskirts of Herning Municipality. Ikast is situated 28 km from Silkeborg, and 69 km away from Aarhus.
Demography[edit]
As of 1 January 2017, the population of the town is 15,462.[1]
History[edit]
Up until late in the nineteenth century, Ikast was nothing more than a few buildings surrounding the church. During the industrialization, Ikast established a strong presence in Denmark as one of the main towns for the textile industry, which was the main industry in the area until the start of globalization, where production jobs were outsourced.
The opening of the railway in the 1850s led to an increase in population, as the existing part of town surrounding the church, and the new part of town, built around the railway, grew into each other.[2]
The church was originally a Roman church, built in the 13th century. The old church burned down in 1904, and was rebuilt into the new church, which was finished in 1907. The church was expanded several times, with the latest expansion happening in 2005.[3]

Bakken Amusement Park, Klampenborg - Hestevognskørsel i Dyrehaven - Copenhagen attractions

The main entrance of Dyrehavsbakken (Bakkenn/ Dyrehaven) from where you can either walk or take a horse carriage ride (Combined driving / Carriage Driving) into the forest or down to this famous old Copenhagen Amusement Park known to the Danes as Bakken. Dyrehavsbakken is a huge old Forrest located in Klampenborg by the coast to the coast overlooking Sweden. This forest is famous for the thousands of deer which freely roam around the forests and are normally easy to see.
