Once made famous for it's canal, High Falls remembers its origins with the D&H Canal museum located in the heart of the town adjacent to a portion of the canal and 5 locks. If you're around for the warmer months, stop by the town's weekly Flea Market every Sunday. And, of course, you can't miss the spectacular waterfall fed by the Rondout creek. View Of North America from the air
My British Airways flight from London Heathrow to Houston International, Texas, took the polar route: London, central and north England, Scotland, Iceland, Greenland and then into North America over Hudson Bay, Canada and down the centre of the continent to Houston. After the meal and a movie I raised the window blind to casually look out expecting all cloud. What I saw was the majestic frozen wastes of Manitoba. We travelled down the centre of the United States and landed in George Bush International Airport in Houston, Texas around 3 1/2 hours later. I liked the view and hopefully a few others will too.
