Top 7 Palace to Visit Near Nashik | Maharastra
7 Best palace to visit near Nashik maharastra .
01 . Brahmagiri Hill
Brahmagiri is considered as a huge form of Lord Shiva . To reach up the hill you need to climb 500 steps . Godavari is flowing in three directions on the mountain. The one flowing towards east is called Godavari, one flowing towards the south is called Vaitarna and the one flowing towards the west is called the west-flowing Ganga and meets Godavari near Chakra Tirth. River Ahilya meets Godavari in front of the Trimbakeshwar temple. The height of the mountain is 1800 feet.
02. Anjaneri Mountain
Anjaneri is one of the forts in the mountain range of Nasik-Trimbakeshwar. Anjaneri is located 20 km away from Nasik by Trimbak Road
To reach Anjaneri temple, you have to cross three mountains. When we crossed the fort, we crossed the first mountain and came on second. Top of the second mountain is a plain area and you need to walk around 1 KM to reach to the Indra Sarovar Lake.
03. Ashoka Waterfall / vihigaon waterfall
Best time to visit is in Monsoon...Peaceful and Lush green Places around it. This is a beautiful place in Vihigaon near Igatpuri.
From he Mumbai Nashik highway, one needs to take the inner winding roads to reach the spot if the waterfalls. There is a further trek ahead and it's advisable not to take adults and children as the route is steep and slippery.
Once you reach the water inside,it's a lovely experience and worth all the effort taken to get here.
04. Harihar Fort
Steep and challenging... I presume it makes little difficult for starters in monsoon with slippery slope and gravel... Exciting and reward yourself with peace. If you want more adventure then trek in rainy season which doubles up the adventure. In rainy season, step become slippery which add risks in your trek and regular trekkers likes the risks.
05. alang-madan-kulang - Fort
About Alang fort:
Alang Fort (also Alangad) is a fort in Nashik district, Maharashtra, India. It is one of the three forts, the others being Madangad and Kulang, in the Kalsubai range of the Western Ghats. They are the most difficult to reach forts in Nasik District. A dense forest cover make these treks difficult. These three forts are a little neglected due to very heavy rains in the area and a difficult confusing path to the forts
About Kulang fort:
Being in the same region of the three forts its said climb to Kulag is the most difficult. On the way up climbing we come across patches of rock cut steps. It take 6 hours to reach from Kulanwadi to the fort. On the fort to see around 5 water cisterns. Form here we could also see Mahuli with the 3 pinacles. One can also stay at the caves here.
About Madan fort:
The climb preferred is usually between Madan and Alang. The time taken could around 3-4 hours to reach the step after leaving Kulung fort. Over here rock climbing would be required as the wall of the steps was destroyed during the cannon fire. Use of a fixed rope is required. There is one large cave on this fort and 2 water cistern. The top of the fort is a huge plateau. On the fort, there are two caves, a small temple and 11 water cisterns. Remnants of buildings are spread over the fort. Kalasubai, Aundh Fort, Patta and Bitangad are to the east of the fort, Harihar, Trimbakgad and Anjaneri to its north and Harishchandragad, Aajobagad, Khutta (pinnacle), Ratangad and Katrabai to its south.
06. Kalsubai Peak
Trekking Kalsubai Peak can be very tiring carry food and water for energy. A small well is there before reaching Kalsubai peak a villager has set camp there and offers Pakoda and Tea. Peak Kalsubai is a small plateau and offers a commanding view of nearby forts and Bhandardara Dam. During monsoon wind is very strong at Peak Kalsubai. You can also do a night trek in winter and enjoy the beautiful Sunrise at Kalsubai. It gets very cold atop Kalsubai before sunrise with strong wind.
07. Saptashrungi
At a distance of 26 km from Vani and 65 km from Nashik, Saptashrungi Devi Mandir is a Hindu temple situated near Nanduri village. The temple lies atop the cliff with an altitude of 1,230 m.
