Separated from the ground by an arm of the sea, the island of brehat is only about ten minutes by boat from Pointe de l'Arcouest in Britain.
Brehat is actually the name of the entire archipelago located in the English Channel consists of 87 islets and rocks that rise from the water.
Ferries to the island are every half hour.
Given the large excursions of the tide it is possible to get the ferry is necessary to take a long walkway
Once at the port of Port Clos, you can rent bikes or walk the streets of the island on foot as cars are banned.
Brehat, is 3.5 km long and 1.5 km wide, and is built around two main islands
The island was also dubbed the island of flowers for the variety of its flora and the beauty of its landscapes. Hydrangea, mimosa, mulberry, eucalyptus, aloe, camellias ... But among all, the flower that symbolizes more of this island is the agapanthus. From June to September, you will see her violet blue flower unfolding at every intersection in the streets of brehat.
A real little piece of paradise.
Throughout the year, the Gulf Stream ensures this magnificent place a real microclimate.
Need to visit at least one day to discover its houses full of charm
and its wild creeks.
La Chapelle Saint-Michel is built on the highest top of the island, just 33 meters above sea level
One of the most beautiful places is definitely the Moulin du Birlot It is a water mill that harnesses the tide. During high tide the mill wheel is almost completely submerged
The Phare du Paon, built in 1860 at the northernmost point of the island, was destroyed during the Second World War and rebuilt in 1952
From here you can enjoy a fascinating overview of the English Channel.
From the Phare du Paon, we return to the village where the square you can rest in one of the bars
Here we are again at the Port Clos, where this time we have to travel a long gangway to board the ferry

Family Holiday with Visit Brittany | Mini Travellers
Travel video about destinations in Bretagne (or Brittany) in France.
Brittany in the rugged west of France features picturesque old towns, castles and fortresses plus austere mediaeval cathedrals. Nostalgia and romantic harbour villages still exist here and it is also a land of menhirs and fishermen.Rennes is the capital of the region, and we visit Vannes, Redon, Belle-Ile, and Utah Beach.
Numerous sandy beaches, dramatic rock formations, glorious countryside, and a unique sense of identity mean that Brittany is often compared with Cornwall. Then there's the fabulous seafood and warm Breton hospitality. Tempted? You should be, because this is one of the UK's favourite holiday destinations. We loved it!

BRITTANY COASTAL WALK. THE COTE D' ARMOUR. FRANCE CAMPERVAN TRIP 2018.
Up and about bright and early!! off on another hike along the Brittany Coastal Path along the Cote D' Armour. Firstly down to a coastal cove, then up, up, up and through flora and fauna to some beautiful views in the glorious morning sunshine. It's a bit of a hike.... but the Brittany Coastline never disappoints!!
The campsite we stayed at for this walk was 'Camping Les Madieres', in Pordic, around 15 minutes walk until you reach the coastal path. Lovely campsite!!
