It is 6 miles north-east of Bury St Edmunds on the A143 road to Diss and 9 miles south-east of Thetford. The parish has a population of 2,177, increasing to 2,365 at the 2011 Census. The south end of High Street and town may also be historically listed as Ixworth St Mary.

Wyken Hall Plant & Craft Fair (April 2018)

Wyken Hall Vineyards plays host to an annual craft and plant fair held at the end of April. Sadly in 2018 the weather was awful, falling between the hot weather of the week before and cold weather of the chosen date. It was wet, a cold wind and only about 5 Degrees!

Still, the hardy gardeners managed a visit!
