Kaghan Valley is an alpine-climate valley in Mansehra District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. The tourists from across the country come to visit this place. The valley extends 155 kilometres , rising from an elevation of 2,134 feet to its highest point, the Babusar Pass, at 13,690 feet . Landslides caused by the devastating 2005 Kashmir earthquake closed the Kaghan Valley road and cut off the valley from the outside. The road has been rebuilt.

    Sharada Peeth is an abandoned Hindu temple and ancient centre of learning along the Neelam River in the village of Sharda, in the Pakistani administered territory of Azad Kashmir. Between the 6th and 12th centuries CE, it was one of the foremost centres of higher learning in the Indian subcontinent, hosting scholars such as Kalhana, Adi Shankara, Vairotsana, Kumarajiva, and Thonmi Sambhota.
