Chonburi Thailand Vlog 2: Angsila Seafood Market and Handmade Thai Mortar & Pestle
Dwight visits the 130+ year old fishing market in Ang Sila and buys a handmade Thai mortar and pestle for cooking!

Stop 1: Old Ang Sila Market ตลาดเก่าอ่างศิลา
Map:
The seafood here is often what supplies much of the restaurants in the area. While this isn’t much as a tourist attraction, the Old Ang Sila Market can get really busy as it has become a popular stopping point for Thai motorists. They are most often pulling up to the first part of the market to buy prepackaged and a few freshly prepared products to eat in the care or take home.
The snack tried in the market is called 'jaeng lon' or แจงลอน, but is basically tod mun (Thai fish cakes) in meatball skewer form. They appeared a bit dry, but were tastier than they looked. This is not a common snack and it was my first time to try, so be on the lookout for them to get more popular, as people are already familiar with the flavor.
Stop 2: Ang Sila Mortar and Pestle Vendors (on the main road beyond the market towards the town)
Stop 3: Nong Mon Market (15 mins from Ang Sila Market)
Map:
This is Day 2 in Chonburi and the second half will be uploaded soon, stay tuned.
