संतान प्राप्ति के लिए
एक ख़ास प्रकार का कछुआ जिसकी पीठ पर बच्चे कछुए भी हों, उसे संतान प्राप्ति के लिए ख़ास माना जाता है। जिस घर में संतान ना हो या जो दंपत्ति संतान सुख से वंचित हों, उन्हें इस प्रकार का कछुआ अपने घर में रखना चाहिए।
धन प्राप्ति के लिए
इसके अलावा कछुआ धन प्राप्ति का भी सूचक माना गया है। यदि किसी को धन संबंधी परेशानी हो, तो उसे क्रिस्टल वाला कछुआ लाना चाहिए। इसे वह अपने कार्यस्थल या तिजोरी में भी रख सकते हैं।

बिजनेस या ऑफिस में लगातार हो रहे नुकसान को रोक, तरक्की के अवसर पाने के लिए मेटल का कछुआ रखना चाहिए। इसे दूकान-ऑफिस के अलावा अपने बेडरूम में भी रखा जा सकता है।

अगर घर में आए दिन किसी न किसी तरह की बीमारियां होती रहती है तो इससे बचने के लिए घर में मिटटी का बना कछुआ रखना सबसे अच्छा माना जाता है।

यदि आपने नया व्यापार शुरू किया है या करना चाहते हैं तो नई दूकान में चांदी का बना कछुआ रखना बहुत ही शुभ माना जाता है। ऐसा करने से व्यापार को किसी की बुरी नज़र नहीं लगाती।
परीक्षा में सफलता के लिए
आजकल बच्चों के साथ-साथ बड़े भी अपनी नौकरी में प्रमोशन पाने के लिए आए दिन परीक्षा की तैयारी करते रहते हैं, ऐसे में पीतल का बना कछुआ आपको सफलता पाने में मदद करेगा।
क्लेश खत्म करने के लिए
यदि घर के सदस्यों में आए दिन लड़ाई-झगडे होते रहते हैं तो घर में 2 कछुओं का जोड़ा रखना चाहिए। ऐसा करने से घर के सदस्यों के बीच चल रही अनबन ख़त्म हो जाएगी और प्यार बढेगा।
