Maybe Quaint Is Cute In Ireland? - Episode 2, March 25th - Wexford to Bray
It begins! To The Trains! Vicki and Geoff start their Irish travels at Rosslare, and head up the picturesque east coast to Bray - taking in the walking-pace Wexford stretch and TV’s Ballykissangel country, before a nifty switchback for today’s Awkward Station, Kilcoole. The sun is shining, the sea is blue - and thankfully it’s a little less windy than the ferry …
Vicki and Geoff are travelling to 198 railway stations in Ireland and Northern Ireland!
All The Stations - Ireland sees the duo exploring the length and breadth of the Iarnród Éireann and Northern Ireland Railways networks. Along the way, they'll meet the communities connected to the lines, interview local people and those who work on the railways, to find out about their experiences of travelling by train.
To The Book! The Railway Adventures is published by September Publishing and was released in October 2018. It accompanies the 2017 'All The Stations' adventure, when we travelled to all 2,563 railway stations in Great Britain. Available here:

BRAY to GREYSTONES CLIFF WALK
Started off the morning by walking with Josh to the bus stop. It was the same direction of the store, Spar. He wanted to get some water and whatever. He was hungover from the night before, the super bowl was on but it started around midnight over in Ireland. So he ended up only getting a few hours of sleep before I woke up.
I, however, was walking to the bus stop to catch a few buses/trains down to a little town called Bray. They have an awesome trail along the mountain cliffs that connect Bray to Greystones. It's an incredible hike. The two hour bus journey down there was definitely worth it.
Upon my arrival, I decided before reaching the trail I would get some soup to calm down by upset stomach. I talked to a local who pointed me in the direction of the Martello. Not only did it sound expensive it looked expensive. But my delicious soup was only 2 Euros. And they were nice enough to throw it in a coffee cup for me so I could drink it on the hike. I was in somewhat of a hurry because it was around 130pm or so and I wanted to finish this hike (which some people say could take 2.5 hours to complete) before the sunset.
Eventually, on the train I came across Lord Meath's house. Which, today is just a pile of ruins esscentaully. But there's a staircase that takes you all the way up to the top of the mountain, I think, which would have been so cool if I wasn't here for just a few days. If I'm ever in Bray again, I'l have to hike to the top of this mountain!
Later on my journey I came across two Irish ladies. They were so friendly. One of them wanted to take a picture with me and she wanted to show her American girlfriend that she met an American. I was happy to oblige!
Not long after my encounter with those locals, I was sitting on the edge of the wall waiting for the train to come from underneath this really cool tunnel. It wasn't taking too long so I decided to just keep moving, but then I heard some birds. I peaked over the railing and saw a couple of birds just chilling haha
I saw from afar what appeared to be a hundred birds all cluttered together on the side of a hill. When I finally reached the clutter I realised it was just rocks. That spelled Eire. Which I didn't know at the time but Eire apparently means Ireland in Irish.
Not long after that, I was on the homestretch to Greystones. I broke this one into two parts because it was far too long. Hope everyone liked it!
