Komotini is a city in the region of East Macedonia and Thrace, northeastern Greece. It is the capital of the Rhodope regional unit. It was the administrative centre of the Rhodope-Evros super-prefecture until its abolition in 2010, by the Kallikratis Plan. The city is home to the Democritus University of Thrace, founded in 1973. Komotini is home to a sizeable Turkish-speaking Muslim minority. Built at the northern part of the plain bearing the same name, Komotini is one of the main administrative, financial and cultural centers of northeastern Greece and also a major agricultural and breeding center of the area. This is a list of clock towers by location. It includes clock towers based on the following definition: A clock tower is a tower specifically built with one or more clock faces. Clock towers can be either freestanding or part of a church or municipal building such as a town hall. The mechanism inside the tower is known as a turret clock. It often marks the hour by sounding large bells or chimes, sometimes playing simple musical phrases or tunes.

The Old Mosque or Éski Tzamí is former church in the Greek town of Komotini dating back to 1608. The Old Mosque is located in Komotini and and has been architecturally influenced by the aesthetics of Greek neoclassicism. Ironically, the Old Mosque was built after the New Mosque of 1585. But it is believed that the church building dates back to Evrenos, therefore the name of the mosque is Éski Tzamí. In the 1910s, the Bulgarians turned the Old Mosque into a church and destroyed part of the minaret . The building was returned to the Moslem minority in 1919-20, under the French administration of Komotini. By then, the demolished minaret and the current 2 balconies were rebuilt.

The New Mosque or Gení Tzamí is an Ottoman building in the Greek town of Komotini dating back to 1585. It is the only surviving structure in Greece to feature Iznik tiles from the 1580s, the zenith of the Iznik potters' art. The New Mosqueis located in the center of Komotini while next to it is the Muftiate of Rodopi. The Mosque has a square-shaped prayer hall and has been architecturally influenced by the aesthetics of Greek neoclassicism. Next to the Mosque is the Clock Tower and the Ottoman Turkish baths are found in neighboring areas. Ironically, the New Mosque was built before the Old Mosque of 1608. The Archaeological Museum of Komotini is a museum on Symenonidi Street in Komotini in Greece. The museum was designed by Aris Konstantinidis, an architect, and was commissioned in 1976. The exhibits on display are from the Neolithic to the Byzantine period, from the excavations of the Thracian archaeological sites, and reveal much about the prehistory and history of the Aegean Thrace and Komotini. The museum also has exhibits of folklore art, agriculture operations and basket making.
