Krinides is a town in the Kavala regional unit in eastern Macedonia, Greece. It was the seat of the former municipality of Filippoi. The ruins of the ancient city Philippi are close to the town. Krinides is situated at the southwestern foot of the Lekanis hills, 13 km northwest of Kavala and 20 km southeast of Drama. The Greek National Road 12 between Drama and Kavala passes west of Krinides.

The Angitis , also known as Angista and Dramatitsa, is a tributary of the Strymonas in Northern Greece. The river is 75 km long and an important tributary of the Strymonas. Its source is in the Falakro mountains, in the regional unit of Drama, near the town of Prosotsani. It flows south until Fotolivos, where it turns west and enters the Serres regional unit. It flows into the Strymonas near Tragilos. The river is the setting for a number of extreme sports, including rafting. The Angitis cave is 21 km long. A short distance from the cave is the gorge of the Angitis, 15 km in length with a depth that reaches 100 m down to the river bed.

Jason's Mud Bath

Date: September 1, 2006. Together with my cousin Linda and my bestfriend Jeton, we went to an exotic resort called Hell's Gate, Waiora Spa in Rotorua. For a fee of 80 NZ dollars, I indulged myself with their famous mud baths. Kiwis say that this mud is good for the skin. I felt like a little kid again as I covered my body with the grey gook. The dip was absolutely relaxing. Too bad we don't have anything like this back in the Philippines. :-(

Jumping In The Mud Volcano / Volcan de Lodo El Totumo

While riding from Cartagena to Santa Marta we stopped at the Mud Volcano and went for a dip. We got there early and had the place to ourselves. I recommend that as by 10am the place was packed with tour buses. I'm sure it would still be fun but getting to jump in was the best.
