The Normans built the first fort in the 14th century and since then Parga passed in the hands of Venetians, French, British and Turks. Along the waterfront of Parga, there are many taverns and cafeterias that turn into bars in the evenings. These bars usually stay till 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning and play lounge music.
