WILD ELEPHANTS in Thailand - Kui Buri National Park (Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan)
Kui Buri National Park in Prachuap Khiri Khan is one of the last few places that you can see wild elephants in Thailand. We headed there this afternoon to see if we could catch a glimpse of these wonderful animals in their natural habitat.
The park is located an hour and a half drive from Hua Hin and easily accessible from Prachuap Khiri Khan Town. We stayed at the Dhevan Dara Resort and Spa which is a half hour drive from the park. You can check the hotel out by clicking the link below:
Entrance to the park is 200 baht per person (£4.50 / $6) and it costs 850 baht (£20 / $27) for a truck with two guides to take you around the park. Just getting a chance of seeing elephants in the wild was worth the money so please consider coming here instead of going to shows or elephant trekking sites, where the animals are treated appallingly, you won't regret it.
