Jacaranda Caravan Park - Top Tourist Parks - Discover Downunder
Located midway between Sydney and Brisbane Port Macquarie is an ideal holiday destination.
About 30 minutes from Port Macquarie is the tiny fishing town of North Haven.
A few minutes up the road is the Jacaranda Caravan Park run by Neville & Yvonne Smith.
Tim Smith host of Discover Downunder talks to the managers about the park.
The park is registered for 126 sites and 18 cabins, the remainder of the park has 49 tourist sites and van sites.
Jacaranda Park has a kids playground including a cubbyhouse and pool area.
This park is fantastic for children.

Residents of Australia's Lake Cathie are fighting government attempts to force the sale of a string of the town's properties. They tell TIME TO TALK of a far more sensible solution to local land erosion.
The Hon. MELINDA PAVEY: My question, which is on the same issue as that raised by Mr Ian Cohen, is directed to the Minister for Climate Change and the Environment. Further to the Minister's inclusion of Lake Cathie in Port Macquarie as one of the 19 hot-spot beaches listed in the Government's coastal erosion defence plan, will he revise the guidelines being used for local planning purposes? Will the Minister specifically ensure that the Administrator of the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is given the clear message that publicly owned land, such as parks and beaches, and assets such as roads should be defended in the interests of public access to our beaches and preservation of residential amenity and property rights?
The Hon. JOHN ROBERTSON: The Hon. Melinda Pavey is right to say that Lake Cathie is one of the 19 hot spots that have been identified on the coast. A number of locations on the coast, including Belongil, Old Bar, Wooli, Lake Cathie, Norah Head, Narrabeen and Collaroy, are under threat. I say for the record that the location with the most real estate at risk is Wooli, where 27 houses currently are under threat because of coastal erosion. The Government takes this matter very seriously. We will be consulting all the relevant local councils to ensure that they have an opportunity to make a contribution to the code of practice on this matter. The councils and I, as the Minister responsible, will have the capacity under these reforms to issue stop work orders.
I make the point again that these reforms are about clarity of rights and responsibilities of councils and landowners. The major feature of this proposal is that we are keen to ensure that we do not compromise the iconic nature of our beaches up and down the coast, and that obviously includes access to those beaches.

Carnival Dream Onboard Flood Clean Up and Refund Update A Job Well Done! The Carnival Dream cruise ship had a flood onboard it's 7 day Western Caribbean cruise this week, but swift action by the crew has minimized the flooded area and the clean up is almost done. The cruise line stepped up to assist the passengers in the 50 cabins that were affected by the flood by offering them a full refund for their cruise, a 50% credit against their next cruise and they were offered a free hotel stay and free flights home from Cozumel Mexico. The ship will return to it's home port of New Orleans tomorrow May 6th 2018 and it is expected to leave on time for it's next cruise.
