1) What's the best time of year to visit Turks and Caicos? When is the best weather?
From November to May, the weather is dry, and the average temperature is a pleasant 80° to 84°F (27°-29°C). In the summer months and early fall the temperature can be quite warm, reaching the mid 90's.
2) Is it safe for kids to swim at Grace Bay Beach?
Grace Bay Beach is located on the leeward side of Providenciales.
This means the shoreline along Grace Bay is calm and is protected from strong trade winds that contribute to large waves and powerful breakers elsewhere.

3) Does The Palms have an adults-only section of the hotel?
The Palms does not have an adults-only section of the hotel.
4) Is there a dress code at the hotel? Outside of the hotel?
Despite being a luxurious and sophisticated destination, The Palms dress code is relaxed elegance.
5) What restaurants are within walking distance of The Palms?
The Palms features its own spectacular restaurant, Parallel 23.
Parallel 23 offers a fusion cuisine that incorporates tastes from India, Mexico and Morocco.
Restaurants close to The Palms include O'Soleil, Bay Bistro and Hemingway's, which is right on the beach.
Due to the popularity of O'Soleil reservations are recommended and our concierge can assist.
6) What is the best restaurant to have a romantic dinner? What restaurant has the best food?
Many visitors consider Parallel 23 to be the most romantic restaurant on the island.
Coyaba and Infiniti Bar are also considered to be romantic places to eat.
For food, Coco Bistro is often touted as creating some of the best cuisine in the Caribbean.
The Palms also participates in many local events aimed at couples, including the annual Valentine's Day Chocolate Event, one of the most romantic nights of the year on Providenciales.

7) Are there any supermarkets near The Palms? What are the prices like?
The Palms is located quite close to two supermarkets.
In central Providenciales, to the east of The Palms the value-conscious Graceway Smart recently opened in March 2015.
Graceway Smart features a wide selection of staple foods. It is a favorite place for locals to shop.
Graceway Gourmet is located about ten minutes by car to the east of The Palms. Graceway Gourmet is a specialty supermarket that sells premium, hard-to-find products and is similar to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's in the United States.
Supermarkets on Providenciales accept major credit cards and sell beer, wine and spirits.
There is also an onsite shop at The Palms that sells a nice assortment of gourmet snacks and sundry items.
8) Do we need a visa to travel to Turks and Caicos?
U.S. citizens do not need visas to enter the Turks and Caicos Islands as tourists for short periods. U.S. citizens must present a passport.
Canadian visitors do not need a visa to enter the Turks and Caicos Islands. Although a valid Canadian passport should be carried for all visits outside Canada, visitors from Canada may enter the Turks and Caicos Islands without a passport if they have a birth certificate and photo ID such as a driver's license.
9) Are there any new direct flights to Turks and Caicos?
Most new direct flights to Providenciales Airport (PLS) are announced in September, as people plan their winter vacations.
However, there are many direct flight from cities in North America, including Toronto, Montreal, Boston, New York, Atlanta and Miami.
British Airways operates the only transatlantic flight, a Sunday flight from London Heathrow (LHR).
Providenciales is an easy-to-reach destination. Flights departing from Toronto and New York take around 3.5 hours to reach the island. Providenciales is only 80 minutes from Miami.
10) Can I use the following in Turks and Caicos?
Cell phones
GSM phones are supported on the Turks and Caicos' cellular network. TDMA and CDMA phones are not supported. Please be sure to check with your wireless provider about roaming fees.
ATM card
ATM's on Providenciales are part of the Cirrus network. Not all shops or restaurants accept Interac, so carrying cash or a credit card is recommended if you leave the resort.
American / Canadian money
The U.S. dollar is the sole currency accepted in the Turks and Caicos.
Laptop power cord
Turks and Caicos uses standard North American 120V, 60Hz power and wall sockets. Converters and adapters are required for anyone visiting from Europe.
Drivers license
If you possess a valid driver's license from Canada, the U.S. or the U.K., you may rent a car or drive in the Turks and Caicos. We drive on the left, as in the United Kingdom.
