Lejre is a town with a population of 2,415 in Lejre Municipality on the island of Zealand in east Denmark. It belongs to Region Zealand. The town's Old Norse name was Hleiðr or Hleiðargarðr. The municipality has an area of 240 km² and a total population of ca. 26,989 ,and the municipal seat is Kirke Hvalsø.

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is an art museum located on the shore of the Øresund Sound in Humlebæk, 35 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the most visited art museum in Denmark, and has an extensive permanent collection of modern and contemporary art, dating from World War II to the present day; in addition, it has a comprehensive programme of special exhibitions. The museum is also acknowledged as a milestone in modern Danish architecture, and is noted for its synthesis of art, architecture, and landscape. The museum occasionally also stages exhibitions of work by the great impressionists and expressionists, e.g. Claude Monet was the focus of a major exhibition in 1994. Ladby Viking Museum, Denmark 2015

The Ladby Ship is Denmark's only ship grave from the Viking period. In the early 10th C. the king of Ladby was buried in his ship, with his finest possessions, including horses and dogs. In the bow of the ship lies the original anchor and anchor chain. A burial mound was raised above the ship. In 1935 the site was first excavated in modern times.
