Things to Do in Leon, Mexico 2019
It was a short one hour bus ride from Guanajuato to Leon. I walked towards the old town from the bus station and noticed how many shoe stores there are, apparently Leon is the shoe capital of Mexico. Once I got close to the old town I noticed the huge church, this thing is massive.
I found a really cheap hotel in the center of town, not nice but basic and really inexpensive. It wasn’t easy to find places to eat, but I managed to find a few good taco shops. I actually only ate tacos during my short stay in Leon.

Is Mexico Dangerous? Our Day in Leon (Aquarium + Mall + Cathedral)
When we told family and friends we were moving to Mexico, the one question most people asked was....is it safe to live in Mexico? (What about the cartel?) When a lot of people in the US think of Mexico, they think of drug cartels and illegal immigration. But on a day trip to Leon, what I thought over and over was: I wish everyone in the States could see this Mexico. Maybe it would change the way we talk about our southern neighbors and their home...
