Lido di Spina is a popular seaside resort in the province of Ferrara belonging to the seven Lidi of Comacchio. Is the lido with users youngest of seven beaches thanks to the many bars, clubs and beaches among the most trendy of the coast that offer daily notable points of aggregation bathing, recreational sports, culinary and of course fashionable.
It is the most south shore of 7 strands of Comacchio and can boast one of the longest beach of the Riviera. It owes its name to the ancient port town of Etruscan Spina, which once stood a little further north, in the territory of the Po Delta.
Lido di Spina is characterized by a very special urban structure and topography, highly irregular; In fact, there are very few roads that are maintained straight from beginning to end: this attribute has earned the epithet of structure in mangrove by the Florentine comedian David Rion. The sea is clean, so as to conquer even in Lido di Spina blue flag in 2013. Lido di Spina is linked to the nearby Lido of Este through the canal bridge Logonovo, offering an immediate connection to Viale Carducci, authentic heart of the economic and commercial center of the Seven Lidi of Comacchio.
From 1968 until the early seventies has been active in Lido di Spina, the first two-seater fixed-grip chairlift in Italy linking the camp to the beach. In 1971 the Italian artist Remo Brindisi had to design and build the Lido di Spina their residence by architect-designer Nanda Vigo according to the style of Bauhaus. The house, now a museum in the summer months for a period between 1972 and 1996, after his death it was donated to the town of Comacchio.
Lido di Spina has received the Blue Flag status in 2006, in 2008, in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Near the delta of the river Po. Outside the summer season Lido di Spina is empty. The town is full of hotels, 2 campsites and many attractions. Markets are held on Saturdays. Lido di Spina is connected to the Lido degli Estensi, which competes in the annual regatta on dividing them Logonovo channel.
Its elegant streets make the low frame and refined houses, many of them built by famous arquitectos.Muchas of them built by famous architects characteristic of the seven towns along the coast, but particularly so at Lido de Spina. Here we find accommodation for all requirements: luxurious and rich in comfort, comfortable, quiet, near the sea or in the middle, on the green or in the more fashionable neighborhoods. The streets are dedicated to artists and is where the master Remo Brindisi had a house, which later became a museum with its collections. The Lido, which makes the division of the province of Ravenna, is also characterized by the huge beach and numerous shops offering endless possibilities for fun.
Comacchio district has great beaches that are totally different from each other. The locations where we can come on holiday known as the Seven Lidos which are Lido di Volano, Lido delle Nazioni, Lido di Pomposa, Lido degli Scacchi, or Porto Garibaldi in Lido degli Estensi and Lido di Spina. These zones extend for nearly 30 miles along the Ferrara province, which is characterized by large areas of pine forests and numerous sandy beaches. This area began to grow in the sixties and today is well known internationally as a point of sightseeing.
The Italian Riviera, find along the coast, although the longest are in the Riviera di Ponente. One of the most famous is the old beach town of San Remo, which was a popular tourist spot among the European aristocracy in the 30's the classic Italian coast we see in many films where the old traditional are interspersed with modern houses and flats.
Lido di Spina is according to the defunct Greek-Etruscan port and trading city of Spina had n to the first decades AD, a few miles west of Comacchio exist - named that - as evidenced by extensive archaeological remains. The modern Spina is a residential settlement without a typical center, which some hotels, restaurants and a few retail stores composed largely of vacation homes. Lido di Spina has the only nightclub in the area of Porto Garibaldi and some other places on the beach that evening are frequented by younger people.

It's not just all about Venice, so today we booked a tour out to the Veneto hill towns. With a big smile and that Italian charm.
Our first stop was medieval Marostica. Walled and cobbled stoned like so many of these small Italian villages. Overlooked by a castle high on the hill with a wall that reminds you of China. In the square, a giant chess board permanently laid out, where the famous living game of chess is played every two years. Real people and real horses are used in this game that revolves around the legend where the fate of one young lady was decided by its outcome.

Comacchio e Trepponti
