In this episode we take you to northern Thailand to the city of Chiang Rai. We start off by visiting one of the most famous temples in all of Thailand, Wat Phra Kaew also known at the Bamboo Forest Temple. The emerald Buddha was housed here in the 12th century before moving around South East Asia and finally making its way home to the Grand Palace in Bangkok.
Next up we visit Wat Rong Khun aka the White Temple! It is located 13 km’s south of Chiang Rai and it's a must visit. It is owned by Chalermchai Kositpipat, who designed, constructed, and opened it to visitors in 1997. It is open all year round and admission is free.
At night you must visit Chiang Rai's night bazaar. Here you can buy dvd's, clothing and goods from the local hill tribes. It's the perfect place to have dinner, and we recommend skipping the restaurant and eating at the food court. If you’re the adventurous type, try some crickets and worms like we did!
The next location we visit is the hill tribe villages about 25 minutes drive north of Chiang Rai. Here you will visit five different hill tribes, the most famous tribe is the Karen long-neck hill tribe. You will hear music, dance and interact with the tribes. You can also buy souvenirs for friends and family back home.
And lastly we visit the Saturday Night Walking Street. It's a night bazaar that is way bigger then the night bazaar and has over a hundred different foods stalls. I recommend coming early and seeing all the food before making a final decision on what to eat. The food was out of this world and I recommend you try northern Thailand's most popular dish Khao Soi. It's a mild coconut based curry served over soft egg noodles and topped and topped with crisp egg noodles. Its delicious!
So that was David's list of 5 things to do in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand.

Wonderland Mini Siam | Pattaya | Amazing Thailand Part 8 | Bangkok
Wonderland Mini Siam near Pattaya, Thailand:
Mini Siam in Pattaya can take you around the world not in 80 days – more like 80 minutes, if you’re quick! The park behind the Pattaya Boxing World stadium is home to nearly 100 replicas of famous sites worldwide - from the Temple of the Emerald Buddha to the Statue of Liberty - all displayed at a scale of 1:25. It is the perfect place to try and play Gulliver’s Travel.
Founded in 1985 as part of a research project, Mini Siam’s 46,400-sqm area is divided into two distinct zones, namely Mini Siam and Mini Europe (which is actually the rest of the world), separated by a small serpentine ‘river’ that you can just step across. The vast manicured grounds, peppered with water features and man-made sculptures modelled after the world’s iconic landmarks, feel like a true global village.

HOW TO TRAVEL FROM BANGKOK TO MAEKLONG RAILWAY MARKET - IN 23 BAHT
In this video you can watch how I traveled from Bangkok to Maeklong train market just in Baht 23.
The Maeklog Railway Market is perhaps one of the most unique attractions in Thailand and is a must-do if you are visiting Bangkok.
The crazy thing about the Maeklong Railway Market is that one minute there are umbrellas and stalls scattered everywhere. Hundreds of people go about their shopping as per usual until a train turns up. The market quickly packs away right before the train goes right through the middle. Then, in a matter of seconds, it unfolds back into a busy market.
Where Is The Maeklong Railway Market?
The Maeklong Railway Market is located in Samut Songkhram Province. This is about 1 hour south-west of Bangkok, just beyond Samut Sakhon.
The area is surrounded by small canals and the Mae Klong River which flows out to the ocean in the Gulf of Thailand.

First, I went to Wangwian Yai Railway station. The station consists of a single train track, one platform and one ticket office.
I took a train from Wangwian Yai to Maha Chai railway station in 10 Baht. And the train timing (WangWian Yai Station to Maha Chai) is 05:30 AM to 08:10 PM.
After arriving at Maha Chai Train station need to walk 250 meters. Take a Ferry to cross the river in 03 baht and the Ferry journey is take 02 minutes. After left Ferry walk about 400 metres to reach Ban Laem Railway Station.
Take a train from Ban Laem Railway station to Maeklong Railway market station, ticket is also 10 baht and only just 04 trains go to train market in whole day. So if you travel by this route please focus on train timing and the timing is (Ban Laem to Maeklong):
07:30
10:10
13:30
16:40
Takes about 3 hours in total, one way. Catch a train from Wongwian Yai Station to Mahachai Station. Cross the river (to Tha Chalom Pier). Catch another train from Ban Laem Station to the Maeklong Railway market.
