Places to see in ( Milnthorpe - UK )
Milnthorpe is a large village and electoral ward within the South Lakeland district of Cumbria, England. Historically part of Westmorland and straddling the A6 road, the town contains several old hostelries and hosts a market in The Square every Friday. The parish and ward of Milnthorpe had a population of 2,106 recorded in the 2001 census, increasing to 2,199 at the 2011 Census.
Milnthorpe is the site of the 19th-century Church of St Thomas, which overlooks The Green and The Square. Prior to its construction Milnthorpe was in the parish of Heversham. Milnthorpe became a centre of business and activity because it was originally a port, using the River Bela and estuary (now only navigable to Arnside), and it remains a significant commercial centre for the area.
Local industry includes Duralon Combs, a 300-year-old comb-making family business. Also Big Fish Internet Ltd, Britain's very first website design agency, founded in early 1996. Tourism and hospitality have always thrived, Milnthorpe being a convenient stop-off point on the A6 for coaches and cars en route to the Lake District. Just to the north is Levens Hall, famed for its topiary. The village used to be a major traffic bottleneck before the opening of the M6 motorway in 1970, and the A590/A591 Kendal link road a few years later. The popular children's drink Um Bongo was made in Milnthorpe by Libby's in the 1980s.
Each August, the Friends of the Exhibition holds its annual art exhibition in the church. Milnthorpe has two steel bands, one for adults and the other based in the town's junior school. The grade I listed house Dallam Tower, with an estate known for its deer, stands near to the River Bela just south-west of Milnthorpe, whilst St Anthony's Tower may be seen on the top of St Anthony's Hill to the north-east of the town centre, overlooking the village and the housing estate of Owlet Ash Fields in nearby Ackenthwaite. It has one secondary school, called Dallam School, and one primary school, called Milnthorpe Primary School. The three pubs in the village are The Cross Key, The Bull's Head and The Coach and Horses.

Meersburg, literally a Burg by the sea, is a charming medieval town on the shores of Lake Constance. Besides well-kept half-timbered houses and interesting town gates, the town is home to two castles, the Old Castle (Altes Schloss) and the New Castle (Neues Schloss).

Location: Dunvegan, Isle Of Skye
Portree 22 miles.
The village of Dunvegan is set in the north west of Skye and contains a mixture of traditional stone and modern houses along with a selection of shops and hotels. About a mile from the village is Dunvegan Castle, home to the Clan MacLeod, who have continuously occupied the castle since the 13th Century, and are said to have had dealings with the wee folk at the Fairy Bridge. Also in the area are the Cuillin Mountains with their fantastic rock forms and pinnacles, which many climbers would put at the top of their list. Other attractions on the Isle are plentiful - visit the Talisker Distillery or Portree, the island's only town, set around its natural harbour, which boasts an excellent range of shops, hotels and restaurants, and also offers Sea Eagle trips from the pier, which are extremely popular.

This was a beautiful house in a stunningly serene area. I loved that it was close enough to walk into Dunvegan yet in a quiet enough area to relax - it was perfect.

The property met all our hopes and expectations and it's setting was fantastic - overlooking Loch Dunvegan. We felt so relaxed and at home in the property and we loved the goody basket left on our doorstep a couple of days after we arrived - thank you!

Traditional Thai Massage Technique $6 For 1 Hour Cheap & Relaxing
The other day I got a Thai massage. Here in Pattaya, Thailand they range from 100 baht to 200 baht for one hour, or $3-$6. This video is a great way to understand the principles of Thai massage and the technique. I did not film the whole 1 hour, maybe I will do that in the future, but you can see basically how the massage takes place.
Thai massage is an ancient practice that goes back centuries, believed to be 2,500 years old. It incorporates elements of yoga, reflexology and Thai medicine. It is believed to have healing properties, a form of therapy and I can't argue with that seeing how good I feel after getting one of these.
Thai massage uses no oil or lotions, sometime tiger balm is used to help heal sore parts of the body. Participants are fully clothed. A real proper Thai massage usually lasts around 2 hours and you can get that for around 300 baht or less than $10 in many parts of pattaya.
